One of the better hostels I stayed at. Very large pubic areas, nice and down-to-earth people at the reception and great beer on the tap. Overall I can recommend everyone staying here!

The twin room we stayed in was windowless but clean and secure. The hostel had a great chill out area and the staff were really friendly and helpfui.

"+": very helpful staff., fast bus connection to the city center, including International Bus Station, free WiFi, cheap beer inside, very good breakfast included, lockers :), nice common room. "-": old-skool bathrooms, quite dark dorm #2 with fuckin' noisy aircon pipe (!!!).

A clean hostel, but not very social. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the kitchen was nice to have access to. Distance to town was not short but definitely walkable- we never took a single bus in 4 days. Overall, rather decent and adequate in every aspect, just a bit dark and anti-social. Not a place to meet people, bu a good place to stay.

We liked this hostel very much, mainly because of the great atmosphere and staff! The location was good, a bit outside old town but the busstop was just outside the door. The kitchen was very useful and the breakfast was delicious! The only bad thing was the lack of good lights and the cellar was a bit shabby. But overall a GREAT place!

It was in a rather remote area with limited bus service during the night. After 10pm you can't hang out in the lounge so if you want to stay up you have to go to the smoking room which sucks for people with asthma. There's also only 1 plug in the 14-person dorm so it's really difficult to charge any of your electronics. No outside alcohol is allowed and we were never offered our free beer. It was overall really disappointing and left a sour note on the trip.

Everything about this hostel is great except the location. It's quite a long walk from the centre of Prague. Stay here if you're in a group, but if you're travelling alone I wouldn't recommend it as the walk feels a bit dodgy at night. Amazing value for money though.

I loved this hostel! Everyone was really nice and it was very clean. Its a little bit of a walk from the city center, but the bus stops right outside the door. They also sell bus tickets at the hostel, which is really convenient. I would defiantly stay here again.

I had a problem with the car park facility. They offer a car park for the clients, but they don´t have any car park. Therefore I had to find another hostel that same night and I lost my deposit.

I have to say the location is not too nice. Can reach easily by tram, but you have to pay. But other than that, It is an EXCELLENT HOSTEL. Though no hot food, the breakfast is really nice with a great variety of bread and cereal. The staff is extremely helpful :) I missed the bus and have to arrive the hostel a day later. Then Thomas (owner?) is very helpful in changing my booking without charging any extra money. And the facilities are nice. And welcome beer is nice! Would definitely recommend!

Located on the main bus line to get downtown which made it super easy to get to all the main attractions. Lots of character, beer and drinks available at the small bar. Breakfast was good, full kitchen an asset. Room and everything was comfortable and clean. Only complaint is the basement rec area, where the computers are, is musty and smells. Overall though, good place to stay.

I've stayed here twice for about 4 days at a time. Excellent and very helpful staff. I marked down security because there were a couple incidents of theft the second time I stayed there involving a strange middle-aged, barefoot, man. He unnerved quite a few guests. In the staff's defense, they tried their best to kick him out, but I guess he was just adamant on staying. Zizkov's a great neighborhood and the center is only 15-20 min walking. I'll return.

Very nice place to stay, the hosts receive you with the smile and a free welcome beer! I was in a comfortable 14 beds dormitory and you can borrow a padlock for the cupboard. The interior decoration is very friendly, there are all you need in the kitchen just next to a lovely living-room. Icing on the cake, you'll find downstairs a huge lounge with a billiard table, a table football, sofas and tables where you can stay all night long. You can walk to get to the town center or take the bus!

I enjoyed my time at hostel marabou and I'd stay here again. The atmosphere when I was there was very relaxed, when we arrived people were just chilling out on chairs with their pilsner. The room I stayed in wasn't the cleanest but it was adequate and the beds were reasonably comfy. The staff are very helpful and friendly, one guy even pointed out some good restaurants nearby to eat at. You do have to leave a 200 Krona deposit in order to get a card to let yourself back in to the hostel though.
