I was the only person staying there on my second night, even the staff left at night. The lights stopped working in the bathroom in the morning, and the staff failed to see why I thought this would be a problem. The staff were not very forthcoming with information about what to do in and around Puerto Varas, and most did not speak English. There was a big, well-equipped kitchen. There were two showers but only one toilet, as the other one was out of order.

Good dorm rooms, nice beds and good lockers. Place is small and cozy. Bathrooms are a bit out of the way but fairly clean. No breakfast provided. Wifi worked.

Hostel was pretty nice, just alittle strange that there was no-one there from around 10pm onwards. Just 3 of us staying in one dormitory and the rest of the place was completely empty. Location is good enough.

Unless you're desperate for some quiet time, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There was nothing going on most of the time, and I was one of the only people staying here. There was one amazingly helpful member of staff and the showers were pretty good (although not very clean) , but I don't think I would stay here again if I were to be in Puerto Varas again. I booked one of the deals on hostelworld (free beer) and it wasn't honoured. It has the potential to be a great hostel, just not yet.

A good hostel in a good location. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds are good, kitchen is good, showers are OK and the location is good. It's true that the old building creaks a lot as people move about but that should only bother you if you are a light sleeper that doesn't use earplugs.

Just great !!!!. One of the best hostels in Chilean Patagonia. Perfect beer, very good location, friendly staff and very good and fun environment. They sell CANYONING, wich is the best outdoor sport I have done, absolutely recommendable.
