Facilities are available and clean! Kitchen is well equipped and common area is decent. However, it is unfortunate that the kitchen is often closed immediately after breakfast (often for over an hour) for cleaning by a slow and rude cleaning staff. Beds are incredibly creaky and mattresses uncomfortable. Bathroom is private and a a great shower. Overall, not a decent hostel, but not th best value.

The most welcoming and friendly staff we've had at a hostel (stayed in over 20 this year alone). Clean rooms/facilities. Breakfast was good and included! Free beach towels, umbrellas, beach balls. Short walk to the beach and 10min walk to Old town. Has a small supermarket right beside it. 10 min walk to train station. Definitely recommend staying here!

Good place for anyone visiting Nice. Fairly central location close to the beach and only 15 mins walk from the train station, close to the shopping district and pub district too. Staff were friendly and everything was up to expectations. Only thing I didn't really like was that they closed the common room after midnight, but that was a minor irritation at most. Good stay, enjoyed myself.

I would suggest upgrading your door locks to something a little more secure that physical keys.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hostel Meyerbeer Beach. It's location was superb! A short 2-3 minute walk to the beautiful beach. Also, after asking the receptionist for hotspots for night life, he was able to direct us to the region (which was only an 7-9 minute walk away) and point out crazy happening bars like Wayne's; jazz pubs like Shapko; and many other hidden gems that can be found in that area. Free breakfast in the mornings, and make a friend or two in the common room.

Great improvements since I was last there in '09. Good variety at breakfast and good amostphere. Loved the room with our own little balcony overlooking the streets.

The Hostel is nice, clean and close to the see. A nice place to meet people from all over the world! We were there for the formula 1 weekend so the prices were quite high, otherwise the prices are very acceptable. The train station and the bus station to the airport and very closeby, 10min walk. Nearby there's a lot of restaurants and supermarkets. The old city is around 15min walk where the market is and many nice pubs.

The reception is superb. As I had my bag taken on the first night in town, the reception was extremely helpful and helped me phone, communicating in French etc. I was glad that after a horrible day u could come back into a nice place with super helpful and supportive staff.

The hostel was great and the staff were very helpful. Unlike many other places, this hostel looked like it was recently renovated, and it was very nice to stay the night before heading south for Corsica. There is also a grocery mart directly below the hostel, which is extremely convenient. :)

One of the best hostels I've stayed at! Only complaint? (I know it's a strange one) The chemicals or bleach they use to clean the bathrooms are VERY potent/strong smelling... pretty much overwhelming. Not the first thing you want to smell after a 8+ hour flight...

Not a bad Hostel. Some of the staff seemed to have a little bit of an attitude, but guy on night shift was good. Closing the common area at midnight takes away a little from the atmoshphere, probably a 2 am close would be better. Still a good place to stay.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. Breakfast is simple but good. The beds need some repair as they are quite noisy. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

I only stayed for one night but it was really great. The Italian and Spanish guy at the reception were very welcoming and friendly and were always ready to help! the breakfast was outstanding with a great choice (cereals, viennoiserie, coffee, tea, etc.) of drinks and food. Good location, close to the promenade des anglais & not far from the old town. If I'll be in Nice again, I will certainly stay at the Meyerbeer again!

This hostel accommodates too many people for the size of it. Rooms are cramped. There was no place to leave your bag except in the middle of the floor and in everyone's way. Breakfast in the common area was always jammed packed. It's one thing to be social and sit with strangers, it's another thing to have to sit on their lap. Wifi was non existent. The only place I could get it to work was on the stairs - in everyone's way. Again. That being said, not an entirely bad hostel.
