Booked a double room, but when we arrived we were given a room with twin beds. When we asked for the double bed, they just put the beds together, very unconfortable... The hostel is quite noisy at night and you can hear everything from the reception. You can also hear the trash being picked up at midnight. The only good thing about it is the location, but otherwise I would not recommend it.
Located very closed to the Beach, the old Nice, the waterfall, the Train Station and even the Airport could be arrived by a walk of just 6 km along the Beach Promenade. Very friendly and helpfulll staff, it looks like that they are enjoing to work at the Hostel. Next time we will visite Nice we try first to get a room there. Good was the included breakfast, even it was very simple, the cereals (Müsli) was without additional sugar, nice at Nice!

This is the best hostel I've ever been in!!!! People and staffs are super nice here, we had beach party every night and cooked dinner together. This hostel is really close to the train station and the beach, wonderful place!!
All was great. Excellent location, friendly people. Just some confusion regarding breakfast (you have it depending on where you book it, which is not cool to pay the same price and don't have it). Friendly staff except for italian guy. Recommend!
This is a great hostel in a great location. Very close to both the train station and the beach and a short walk to the old town. Free use of the beach equipment such as towels, umbrellas, lounge cushions and some games is a brilliant idea. Staff were great and very helpful and the wifi was fast and available everywhere. Separate bar area was cool too.
For a very expensive hostel, I found that it was very noisy. It was much more of a party hostel than I expected from the websites I viewed. There wasn't enough space in the dining area and one group easily occupied the whole space,. The computers were not working. While I appreciate the room size and room facilities, overall it wasn't worth the money. The breakfast was also not great, I would rather it not be included. It wasn't a great hostel for anyone over about 22 years old.
Staff are awesome, great hostel. Thanks for the memories!

Great hostel! Less than a 5 minute's walk from the beach--perfect!--although a bit far from Old Town. Amazing staff, friendly atmosphere, good free breakfast, strong WiFi connection, super clean. I love that they supply towels and beach mats, too! I would definitely stay here again.
Far exceeded our expectations. Staff extremely helpful, especially Francesco. Very clean (maid service during the day, did not expect that). Looks exactly like the pics. We stayed in a private room with ensuite. Stayed for 4 nights in mid sept. did not see the mixed dorms, but I would question the validity of any negative reviews on here. 100 meters from beach, about 10 mins walk along beach to Vieux nice. We have stayed many places, and this is one of the better ones.
The hostel is rated the best hostel in Nice. After staying there I wonder what the other hostels must be like because the Meyerbeer hostel was just average. It is super small and there is no ambience at all. No activities, the kitchen is way too small. I was just expecting more.
I am entirely satisfied with the Meyerbeer Beach Hostel, it's very well situated, close to the beach and everything, and the staff there are just outstanding. You really fell like you're home and they seem to want to get to know you and help you get the most out of your stay. Especially the guys! Thanks so much for the free upgrade and positive vibe! As a well traveled person, I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels also, and except from Bali, I had never gotten such a warm welcome anywhere else!

they have each towels and equipment you can borrow which is great and a full kitchen to use
Had a nice stay here, great location, only 2 street back from the beach. The doors into the rooms are hard to unlock, so beware! The free breakfast isn't very nice, but if you are on a budget it's better that starving! The rooms are clean and provide small drawers to lock up valuables but you have to leave your bags on the floor. Wifi isn't good in the rooms but works well at reception. They have free beach towels, mats and umbrellas which is very handy! I would stay here again.
The hostel was great. Was located right near the beach, was close to a supermarket. The staff were very helpful an friendly. The hostel had a good kitchen/sitting area which was good for meeting people. Only dislike was the bed rocked everytime the person on the bottom moved.
Amazing hostel. Our room had a fridge and balony, and the second room we moved to for the following 2 nights (due to availability) even had a cook top and sink. They even have beach towels and mats to take to the beach.. Which is a 2 minute walk. This hostel was in the best location.. The train station is up 1 straight road (about 15m walk) and the old town about 15m walk also, but its along the beach so it's nice. Very safe area at night opposed to a hostel I stayed near the rail station
Wonderful staff, the Italian guy at reception is just fantastic!
Excellent hostel, great location, great staff
I loved my stay here. The staff was absolutely amazing - friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better. Just walk a few blocks and you're at the beach! The rooms were great, too. The atmosphere was fun, but not trashy partying/hookup fun, which I appreciated! I would definitely stay here again.
The staff at Meyerbeer were some of the best I have ever met. They were very friendly and gave us many ideas of things to do and what not to waste money on. The rooms are a bit small, but they were overall good. Place seemed clean and is in a great location. The common area is nothing special, but the staff members are right there and are a really great group. Made the place that much better.
