Hostel Mikolase Alse Reviews

Honestly, I'm probably the last person to be able to provide an objective review about the location, which seems to be what most people had qualms about in previous reviews. I used to live in the giant Soviet monstrosity across the street and chose this hostel specifically because I wanted to be back in my old neighbourhood and introduce my partner to a part of the city he wouldn't otherwise have seen. That said, everything about the place was excellent and I was so happy to be back in Prague!

My girlfriend and I spent two nights here. It was ok, because the purpose wasn't to be at the room, but it could have been much better. It is a dormitory for the students of the faculty of arts and design. Our room wasn't very pretty or clean, we booked for a room with a 2 person bed, but instead we got 2 individual beds. Staff was really kind and let us have the room after the check out to keep our bags until we got our separate ways. Really calm area, but don't think it's worth the money.

Very nice staff but less cleanliness location close to tram station a little bit far from city center but within walkable period

The people here were the worst part about my stay. They lack knowledge and basically don't care. The internet was down for 4 days, they were not able to charge my credit card for 4 days (forcing me to go to an ATM and pay in cash). The people who work at the front desk don't know anything about the city (or maybe they don't but don't care about helping travelers). Its a 20 minute walk to the city from this place. Not a walk you want to do at night since its through a big dark park.
