This is a great hostel, however, it is pretty noisy due to loud music being played well into the early hours of the morning.

The location of this hostel is very nice, just a few minutes away from the metro station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and a computer with Internet access is available.

This place has great potential with their location, roof-top terrace/bar and complimentary breakfast ánd dinner. If only they paid some (or any) attention to cleanliness. I don't ask for a lot when staying in a hostel, but the layers of dust, unidentified hairs in the bathroom and bed and questionable stains on the sheets were a bit off-putting.

The bed mattress was terrible. The linens and towels were poor. The room was right next to the street and very noisy. It was very hard to walk around near the hostel due to all the street vendors. The good things were--hot water, nice terrace, and low cost. Front desk staff very nice and helpful.

Be warned: dont think of sleeping during the weekend nights. The ridiculously loud music until 3.30 am is heard in every room like the party was behind the door. The music wasn't awful, but really, the city offers much better ways to party if you want to go all night long. I paid my room to _sleep_ in it. Wont go again.

The roof bar is annoying, very annoying. We feel extremely insecure when the build is full of drunk people at 3 am. The room is very small and the metrics is not clean.

I had a nice stay. I wanted to meet people and staying there i did :) Just a couple of things could be iomproved though: the breakfast and dinner weren´t very good...and there was never enough for everybody. And there was no shower curtain in our bathroom and the floor didn´t drain so it was always disgusting and wet in there. The music i think shouldn´t be on after midnight.

The worst hostel I’ve been in the world. We’re super flexible, but this hostel out of bounds. The rooms aren’t ventilated, old sheets.General condition of the room is ridiculously dirty, with mold. Photos of rooms aren’t real. The bedroom window is facing a go with power lines and the worst nightclub on the fourth floor. We’d paid first night without sleep. It was a bad experience that was later compensated by the wonderful culture of the city and with the other we stayed–Hostel Mexico City.

One of the worst hostels I've ever been in my whole life...the staff was completely unprepared...they couldn't even inform you where to exchange money or to buy food...and I was stolen...even though I stayed in a pivate room, someone stole my IPod...RIDICULOUS!!!

Hostel Moneda. Wow. What an amazing place to stay. Location is great. The beds are OK and the food is what you would expect for such an affordable price. The Señoritas at reception are beautiful and extremely friendly - their English is very good. The Bar staff are nice... but our favourite is JULIAN the manager, he is FANTASTIC.... So hospitable and respectful. We will be back and will tell ALL OUR FRIENDS to stay at this AWESOME Hostel. PS bring ear plugs to sleep or prepare to party.

The dinner was horrible - I'm not a picky person, but I couldn't take more than one bite. Poor ventilation in the dorm, the room was smelly. Not much atmosphere when I was there, a bit impersonal.

Excellent experience in Hostal Moneda during the Mexican Independence Day. Clean room and facilities, clear info about the local events and surroundings. The best part was the party at the roof-deck with clear line of sight to the fireworks and downtown's skyline I'll return for sure to Hostal Moneda next time in Mexico City

I enjoyed my stay at the hostel, especially because of it's location in the center of the city. I would have liked to have seen more art or more color in the rooms. Also, the rooms can get really warm because of the lack of windows to the outside. It would be nice to have fans available in the rooms, for example. Lastly, the Hostel Moneda's website advertises free wi-fi, but you can't actually get a signal in the rooms. Getting an internet connection in the rooms would be great.
