I can say only good things about the hostel and the staff. Def the best hostel in Bulgaria.

Phenomenal staff and extremely convenient location! Only downside was that the toilets didn't really work, but this was a very minor inconvenience. Delicious dinner and breakfast included in our stay!

I have been couple of Hostels before, but none of them had such a nice atmosphere, and such a cool staff as Hostel Mostel. The Hostel building is absolutely beautiful, location is close to the castle and to city center as well. If the city wasn't that beatuful, I would still reconsider to go back, mainly for this awesome Hostel...

Good vibes, cosy atmosphere, cool staff, spacious rooms. Top bunks were a little squeaky. The hostel is about 15-20mins walk to/from the main drag. Could do with some thicker blankets in winter (both the Sofia and VT Hostel Mostels use some hole-y rugs, which don't do much in winter) but luckily they deck the room out with a heater.

Hostel Mostel in Veliko Tarnovo is a proper hostel with a nice atmosphere. The location is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The only minus is that on this site you are informed that breakfast and dinner are included in the price, but after you've booked you'll learn that this is different when your total per night is under EUR 8,-. In my case the cheapest dorm was EUR 7,40 and for adding b&d I had to pay EUR 2,50 extra. Ennoying and stupid, because they don't need such tricks.

My friend and I stayed at the hostel earlier this week and had a brilliant time. The staff were SO nice & helpful & the hostel had a great vibe. Nicest hostel atmosphere I have ever stayed at. Very personable.

A lot more then just an hostel, quite like a family and home away from home, Alex and Randy being the long lost uncle and cousin and the property itself, with a great layout of the main hall, the spacious yet cosy dining area where you get fed every nigth and socialize with the other travelers that eventually become your friends. Yeah that is what this hostel is about, a gem of a place hidden in VT. Top wifi set up, top cleanliness, top location and top hosts. You guys set the standards. Chao EC

This place is awesome! Free brekky and dinner, really helpful local staff, good wifi connection and love the building! You'd be crazy to stay anywhere else in Sofia.

Most definitely the best hostel I ever stayed in!!! Wouldn't Veliko Tarnovo be such a nice place there would be no need to leave the lovely terrace-area at all. The staff really makes you at home alays having time for a chat and ready to help with information and advice. Come here to enjoy this beautiful part of Bulgaria with superb facilities at your hand or to meet people and have a terrific time when the free diner together extends to a long night by the outdoor fire-place. Or best both! =)

This hostel is one of the best hostels i have stayed in. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms very spacious, clean and safe. The meals were brilliant. And the common areas were fantastic (2 spaces outside and one area inside) I can not fault this hostel

The reviews do not lie - this place is awesome! We have stayed at 40+ hostels on this trip and Hostel Mostel Veliko is easily was the best. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, delicious dinner and breakfast, great location etc Only qualm was that the reputable UFO tour did not run when we were there because of no enough takers. Other than that our stay was excellent and we highly recommend Hostel Mostel to others - good job guys!

The best hostel I've been so far, very good location, only few minutes walk from the Tsarevets forteress. The staff is very very helpfull. Also the free breakfast and dinner is nice !

Excellent! Would highly recommend it. Randy was great, picked us up from the station. Great breakfast and beer with dinner was cool! Had a great time there!
