Good location , get whatever you pay , no complain !!
Great location, friendly staff, comfy beds. Bit of a strange set-up with showers/bathrooms (was routinely unable to wash my hands after going to the loo) but overall would definitely recommend.
Hostel was chilled and relaxed which was just what I wanted after staying in the other hostel in Plovdiv. Staff where friendly and helpful, enjoyed my stay.
Super friendly owner who would provide you with all the information you need, centrally located (might be a bit tricky if you arrive to north bus station though) small hostel that is a great value for money. The only minus is that I had to walk through another bedroom in order to get to my room.
Showers blocked, very average breakfast. Canadian guy needs to put a shirt on, sweating everywhere and checked people in/cooked dinner without a shirt on and was really uncomfortable. Was slamming doors at all hours of the night.. Would not recommend people to stay here
Amazing location and value for just 6.5 Euros in peak season. Two minutes walking from main square, where the free walking tour for the city meets. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The dorm room was spacious, although there were not many outlets. Plenty of small lockers, and enough bathrooms/showers for everyone. The common area and kitchen were in basement, so poor ventilation, but there was also a yard outside with space to hang out. Wifi was good and plenty of city maps.
Decent place. The 'standard' rooms on HostelWorld don't include food, but supper generally looked terrible anyway. We paid the extra 5 for breakfast one morning, then opted for a cheaper bakery breakfast the next morning. We were happy to get our laundry done cheap here, have excellent wifi, and a cool basement room.
Having spent the last fortnight staying in hostels in Bulgaria this was the worst one I've found so far. Essentially just a converted flat, and not a very clean one. No hot water when you needed it. Too few showers and toilets. A very small kitchen and no living area or seating for socialising or eating food. Won't be staying here again.
The man at reception smelt like alcohol and was hardly there. Kitchen was not kept clean. Very small common room. Wouldn't stay more than 1 night, ok if just passing through. Rooms were large and fairly tidy.
Staff were really helpful, rather than showing us the nearest supermarket on the map, he took us! We had stayed in hostel mostel Sofia a couple of days earlier and compared to that, the breakfast here was plain. It was only bread cheese salami veg and cereal, but in Sofia they offered eggs waffles and fruit as well. Common area was nice if a bit small but made for a more intimate friendly feel.
Obviously in the of season, but the hostel was dead. Only US and one other person there. Lacking atmosphere. Clean hostel. Ok location. Staff weren't very helpful.
Hostel mostel plovdiv provided you with the basics. A bed, bathroom and typical breakfast for this area. However it did lack in atmosphere, I feel this may be because it is the low season, but there were better places to stay closer to old plovdiv. A good night stop over but nothing special. Unlike the veliko hostel, wick is amazing.
