This is a busy hostel and rightly so. If you are coming to Sofia for the first time, you really should just book this one and make your whole life and experience here easier. In twenty years of travelling this is one of the best managed hostels, I've come across in the world. The staff are ambassadors for Bulgaria and our new Europe.

Extreamly kind staff. Very well located and good prices for their services. While our stay we considered it "home" and we'll definitely repeat.

The hostel was great!! When we got there the staff was really friendly gave us our room right away and gave us a free locker and the room was really big! The common room was great we met a lot of new friends, played pool and it was the only hostel that had a great pub crawl!! There was free breakfast and dinner with a beer. OverAll an amazing stay! They gave us a map with the city and all he attractions and directions to e free tour.. We liked it so much we stayed 2 extra nights!

Hostel Mostel is awesome, full of heart and soul. Both the place and the staff are unpretentious and open. From all practical aspect it is also great: excellent location, super breakfast, unbeatable price, but the real treasure here are the good vibes. Hostels done this way can give you a lot, not only a bed to sleep. Thank you and good luck on the way!

Private rooms are *not* in the hostel, if I had known this earlier i never would have stayed. It really should be mentioned clearly or listed as a separate property.

What a wonderful place to stay. The staff is very nice and they are always helping you. I was provided with maps and all the information needed to go around the city. The place is clean. The lounge area is huge, divided in small sections with different seats, tables… The staff is extremely nice and friendly, always helping you as much as they can. It is a place I will definitively go back to.

We were a bit disappointed in our stay. We booked a private room, but were put in an apartment, in a room with 4 beds. It was a 7 minute walk away from the main hostel, which was inconvenient because it was raining. One "wall" in our room was also only a frosted glass wall, which was uncomfortable because we are female and shared the apartment with 5 other boys. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the main room was also nice, it's just too bad we were so far from it

I cannot fault this hostel! I only stated here one night but would have loved to stay longer. Staff are so friendly and helpful, beds are clean and comfortable, wifi in rooms, reading lights, good location. Amazing breakfast buffet!!! One of the best breakfasts I've had in a hostel. Good for lone travelers, friendly vibe and common room easy to socialize :)

The most helpful staff you will come across. Excellent breakfast, and good evening meal with beer included. my only comment would be that it would be good to have a fan in the room for when the weather heats up.

There is absolutely nothing I can complain about; it is the best and cheapest hostel I´ve ever been; the rooms are great (I was in a Double Private room), clean, the laundry and towels are fresh, the bathrooms and toilets are clean. The Staff was so kind and weren´t angry that we changed our booking during our stay. The breakfast was absolutely tasty and the pasta for evening ist just to be recommended! yes, I definately would go there again!

I can say this was the best hostel I've ever been in my life. During the last years I've visited many top rated hostels in Western Europe, so based on my experience, Hostel Mostel beats all of them. I don't know the other rooms, but mine was like a 4-5 stars hotel room. The stuff is very experienced, social and positive, they will help you with anything you need immediately. I would never choose other option for my staying in Sofia in my next trips.

Fantastic staff that knew everything about everywhere. Awesome location with a lot of character. We actually stayed in a seperate building a few minutes walk away, which we actually quite liked because it was so quiet. Definitely recommend

It's a pretty good hostel for Sofia. Stayed here a few times. Location is awesome. Cheap or high end bars, restaurants, metro, mall, city center - most within 5 minutes walking. Rooms have been renovated recently. Wifi is solid. Only problem is there aren't enough power sockets in the rooms.

Very efficient and friendly hostel staff, someone loud common area later than the posted time. Great for backpackers, but if you aren't looking for that scene, it may be a bit much.
