Great place - amazing staff, cool people staying there, nice facilities, and great extras, like pub crawls, walking tours, breakfast and dinner, and free beer! Awesome place, whether you like to party or just hang out and talk to people.

Best hotel during our trip around eastern Europe !

This hostel really does offer everything! Food, friendly staff, great price, a cozy place to hang out and a perfect base from which to explore the city.

This hostel is placed in a beautiful old building, private rooms are 5-10 min in another building, which is not a big deal. Breakfast is huge and prepared with care, the stuff is very friendly and helpful. You will find all the facilities you need.

Hostel mostel is great - everyone is really friendly and the common area is wicked. However, we booked into what we thought was an 18bed room including food - but supposidly there is no 18 bed room? And that price didn't include food. Meaning that our party was split over two rooms. Not what we were expecting. Also in the rooms with no ensuite bathroom be aware that to get to the bathroom you have to go outside! In -10 it was horrible to have to go outside in the middle of the night!

Good location, good breakfast, super friendly and very helpful staff, good wifi, excelent value for money ratio, overall good atmosphere. I also tried their other hostel in Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv, also very good. I recommend it.

Greatest hostel in Eastern Europe! Genius lay out and great breakfast!

We stayed in a double room and it was about a block away from the main building. The room was quite noisy with the tram outside so bring earplugs. The kitchen is this apartment wasn't great as there wasn't much crockery or cooking utensils. The main building was good and free breakfast, dinner and a beer was a bonus. The trip to the monastery was over priced. It's just a guy driving you in an old, very smelly car. It also felt unsafe as the driver was constantly checking Facebook while driving

I totally recommend this place. Excellent hostel! The crew is very helpful, the location is very good, and the breakfast is the best! They also give you one free glass of beer and dinner every day, so if you are in a budget this hostel will be perfect. If you are planning to stay in the private rooms, they are not actually in the hostel, you have to walk 5 minutes, which is not a big deal but is good to know.

I really liked this hostel, which is in a building that's hosted guests for over 100 years. The breakfast alone is worth price of a bed here. The staff was great and recommended some really cool bars in the city. They also do hostel-sponsored tours and pub crawls, but only on certain days.

Beyond words. A truly wonderful place.

Amazing breakfast, dinner was so-so but a bonus with large portions. Good location with friendly staff and a nice big common/dining area. The 6 bed dorm's ensuite doesn't include a toilet so you need to go out to the shared ones anyway.

This hostel was incredible - the staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful and always up for a chat. The day trip to the monastery is also well worth the cost.

Helpful stuff, good location within Sofia. The room got too cold, as the central heating unit just turns on at 10 and it can take a bit until it is getting warm. Free breakfast and dinner. If you are on a budget, this is a really nice feature.

That was one of the best hostels I've stayed so far. I paid 6,50 euros for one night in a 8-bed dorm. With a plus 3 euros, I could have breakfast & dinner at the hostel. Breakfast was excellent (bread, cheese, juice, waffles, fruit and a lot more. Dinner was delicious also (rice and beans / spaghetti). The staff was incredibly nice and attentive!

The best hostel we've ever stayed in.

I was very glad to discover this hostel last Summer and stayed again. Very friendly helpful staff, excellent service, healthy delicious Bulgarian food. Thank you and hope to see you again!

Great staff, loved that there were power points all over. The food was pretty good and at a reasonable cost. The location was central.

Good place too stay for small budgets. People where nice. However, if you come alone it's not that easy to meet people as the dorm is not in the same building than the common area. You should get to the pub crawl to meet more people. The hostel is very close to public transportation, the main place and restaurants. My only complaint is that the door of my dorm did not close properly therefore it was cold in my room.

I would recommend this hotel. The staff was fantastic, the location is great, and the hostel lobby is conducive to socializing. Like other reviewers wrote, the website is misleading and breakfast is not included with every room reservation. The hostel will let you store your baggage there after you check out, and let you hang around and use the wifi.
