Excellent location right in front of the bus station. Very welkoming and friendly staff, always available and proposing help. Excellent breakfast !!!!! We took the private room and a private bathroom with somme small problems (it was raining so somme water into the room) The kitchen is very very dirty!!!! The swimmin pool is broken and it's impossible to use. At the end, it's a good hoste At the end, it's a good hostel with some problems because the owners doesn't invest any $ (good potential)
The hostel has a great potential, being it a quiet oasis in the city of Puerto Iguazu, but unfortunately it didn't feel safe at all (some outsider entered in the dorm the night before I arrived and stole the belongings of two backpackers). No lockers in the dorm but only few drawers in which you won't fit all your stuff. Also, the swimming pool was broken, the bar shut and there were small ants in the sugar box and all around the kitchen. Good location though, right in front of the bus station.
A very convenient hostel opposite the bus station and laundry service. We stayed in the private room with wc which had air con. Room was standard and breakfast good. Mosquitoes are pretty vicious beware. Swimming pool is broken and unlikely to be fixed unless major work is done to it. One staff member speaks good English and is helpful.
We really liked our stay at the hostel. The location is great (just across the road from the terminal), the hostel was clean, the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great. The only complaint was the bathroom situation. We had the private room, but the only showers are downstairs through the dorm, which was a bit of an inconvenience.
Staying at this hostel improved our experience of our stay in Iguazu. It provides a relaxed sociable atmosphere. Alberto the new staff member is amazing, very friendly and incredibly helpful. He went out of his way to set us up with a tour that could take us to Brazil and to the airport on time for a very good rate. The pool has a funny green colour but I swam in it and was fine (although I did not put my head under). They have just started doing tango nights with a very good teacher.
The employees are always keeping the place clean and even though it looks a bit old it is still a nice place to stay. Location is fantastic as it is right in the front of the bus terminal and closed to bars and restaurant and the great local market. It would be great if they could renew the kitchen and leave a space for the guess to cook their own food like in a normal hostel. But it is great because they serve you breakfast every morning for free!
