A nice hostel, but the electricity is always disappeared... I guess this summer is too hot that Delhi doesn\'t have enough electricity for every one.

Although only there for 1 night , Sonny/ Lucky as staff member was very helpful for arranging a very early taxi to the airport and giving advice on Delhi.

We booked for 2 nights. We arranged the airport pickup which worked out well. We did not get a good first impression on arriving at the hostel is it was down narrow lanes which smelt really bad. The staff were very helpfull when we arrived. Our room was average. We were taken to a travel agent to book a tour (doubt it was government approved) which worked out great, got a good deal compared to other travellers we spoke to. Ended up staying for just one night and didnt get charged for cancelling.

You get what you pay for at this place, the sheets are not clean and it's best to use your own. Otherwise rooms are passable for the price. Some of the staff are entirely unhelpful and gruff but the two managers Lucky and Amsi are very nice and helpful, although in the latter case it's best not to make him angry. Location is 'good' in that Pahar Ganj is right near everything, but it is also one of the most charmless backpacker ghettos in the world. Also, too much noise, hard to sleep.

After being in India for 4 weeks we still got a chock at how dirty this place was. Dust was hanging from the walls and curtains in lumps and the blankets didn't seem to have been washed for a month, I almost didn't dare to touch them... It was very noisy outside but that's what you get if you stay in the busy parts of the city. Squat toilet. Staff was helpful and friendly. It was quite cheap so you get what you pay for, might be good to pay a little extra in the big citys to get a clean room.

This is the cheapest option in Pahar Ganj. I have stayed in other places and this was the best value for money. There is free wifi (this is not commom), which can be used in the rooms. Rooms are basic but ok. The Staff is helpful.

The hostel location is Perfect, Right off the main bustling Road & in the heart of Old Delhi.Great food places close by, I myself was a little conservative on the food front so I choose a German bakery, which basically sells great western food with an Indian charm. The hostel was a hostel. The price reflects the hostel well.Very cheap, decently kept bathroom, cold shower, cool rooms (no ac though), chilled water availbale in lobby. There were bed bugs though but TBH all cheap hostels have them.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were under construction, so we were put in a room that was much nicer than what we had booked. No extra charge. Location is conveniently in the middle of Pahar Ganj, close to the train station.

when I arrived at the hostel on that evening the so called Hostel New King was under repairs, and they said I would have to go to another hostel further away, they showed me the pictures of this new hostel, looked very good and new it was pictures of the YES BOSS HOSTEL ,and part of the scam, but when they took me to the other hostel, it was a run-down old hotel at the end of the world, they told me a few time there would be no extra charge even although the put me in a double room, everything was broken and all

Thanks a lot!

Hostel New King completely exceeded my expectations. For INR 350 per night the value for money is unmatched - cable TV, free wireless Internet, English-style toilets, 24 hour hot water, shower facilities and extremely helpful staff. I will definitely being staying there the next time I'm in Delhi and I'm sure by that time the noise from the renovations that are being done will be finished.

Location is very good. Rooms are little bit uncleaned, but for India it's ok. The only annoying person - is owner. Be carefull, he is trying to cheat almost every person by moving you to "tourist office", which is actually expensive travel agency. All staff, including taxi drivers will ask you for extra money. It's common in India, up to you to decide, but be ready for this.

When we arrived, they were renovating, so we were moved to another hotel. This one did not look the cleanest, nor was it at all in a clean area. The one we were moved to was not much better to say the least. But, for that price, what do you expect? Everywhere we saw in India was dirty, so the hotel was suitable for the environment.

Simple but nice hostel in the bazar near New Delhi station. Perfect location, very helpful staff. I was upgraded from dorm to single room due to works going on in the building. Would definitely recommend this place, but don't expect more than Indian cleanliness standard.

The rooms are ok, but pretty dirty. The seemingly helpful staff will try to scare you into going to a travel agency where they will overcharge you. And if you meet a guy named chander, dont trust him.

My room was in the hotel New Hindustan, since the New King is apparently under construction. The manager gave me a "deluxe room" which level was just standard, like I booked it. The room was clean for India. The location is very central, just few minutes from the Main Bazar Streetn and the pick up from the airport worked well, they charged 400 Rupies, which is fair.
