I can warmly recommend the New King Hostel. I got a huge room for only 350 Rupees the night. I had my own bathroom and everything was clean. The stuff was very friendly and helped me out with all my questions. The hostel is located directly at the Main Bazaar, where you can shop til you drop! The next Metro Station is only 5 minutes walking distance away! And the New Delhi train station is very close as well. I would definitely com back to New King's Hostel!

Stuff was very unfriendly pushing me into a tourist trap agency, giving me a free ride to town into ther friend's tourist company They would not give me the wifi password saying it is not working but they were surfing the internet, as I went through the comments on this hostel they always do that

This was by far the worst hostel experience I have ever had. Having used hostel world to book hostels around the world I am very disappointed that they allow this place to be listed on their website. I am concerned for anyone who visits here and would recommend avoiding this place. The area was unsafe, down a number of alleyways, the rooms were extremely dirty, even for Indian standards, there are padlocks on the outside of the doors rather than inside. We choose to leave right away.

Possibly the worst experience I have had traveling The owner/coordinator of the hostel is a scamer in which he lies and steals. They have locks on the outside of the doors- not inside. I honestly feared for my life and I feel as if they should be taken off hostelworld. He also will try to scam people into buying fake flights/plans to steal money.. Anyone who goes here is out of their minds. I understand India is different from other areas but this is asking for trouble. BAD, DANGER

Although we have not spent much time in Delhi, we felt that the reviews were more positive than we had read. The hostel is in the centre of activity, which for many I would say is daunting. The hostel is down one of the worst alleys we have stayed in. However, it felt safe and was clean enough. For the budget traveller it will definitely do for a few nights.

Good value for money. One of the lowest prices for a hostel in New Delhi. Staff can be friendly and nice at times.

Most comfortable bed in India so far. The room was quiet, the bathroom clean, and the hot water lovely.

Room was cozy enough. they have free wifi. staffs were very professional, they gave me many information which was very useful. for me this hostel was the best hostel ever.

"Cheapest stay in Delhi" and excellent value for the money, in a couple of words. I stayed for 4 nights, including an unforeseen first night, when I arrived at 4 a.m. and got accommodation in a sister guest-house from this chain, Hindustan. Once you learn your way around the main streets of the Bazaar, it's very easy to get to the train station, to Connaught Place, and to any of the many metro stations that are in the area. Highly recommended! They do have wifi:-)

Didn't care for this place at all. Lucky was awesome but I only met him once he gave me some good travel advice and was awesome. His brother is quite rude and pushy. I came down because I was leaving and was waiting for my ride and he asks me to go back upstairs to wait. The place is in the main bazaar which is a interesting place. Also they take you to a rip off travel agent and don't want you to leave unless you tell them where you're going. But hey this is typical Indian behavior. Hostl sucks

We had a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even upgraded us for the night. I arrived late in the evening and the walk down the alley was a bit intimidating. The facilities and room was average but still cozy and nice. I would recommend this place to friends!

It has been a very nice stay at Hostel New King. Robin, the manager, has been very helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Location was ideal, located in central Main Bazaar, Pharganj. I recommend Hostel New King to anyone

I can not recommend this Hostel. It is located in a small, dark back alley. And the area is not safe after sunset and you better stay inside. Its also not very clean and staff was condescendin towards us.

No complaints at all. I booked at the dorm but it was getting renovated. Very friendly staff who gave me a private room in hotel new Hindustan on the same price. Definitely would go there again.

Dorm was under renovation but they let me use a room. Dark, dirty, and minimal. Staff was a bit short, but not mean, though did try to steer me into a "tourist agency". I left after one night for another guesthouse. ALWAYS LOOK AT THE ROOM in India

When I arrived my dorm room was bumped uptown a double with satellite TV and probably the best hot shower I've had in India. The boss could do with smiling a bit more but for the price he's giving the rooms away at I'm not surprised he's unhappy. I payed 200 rps a night for three. The location is okay, though the main bazaar is good and packed with other accommodation. If you want no frills for less, do this.

Arranged an airport pickup and the driver was sent to the international terminal and I was at the domestic, I told them this in the email requesting the pick up, after 4 phone calls to the hostel and 1 hr waiting the guy turned up. Once at the hostel he then asked me for more money because he had to wait so long! All you get from the staff is attitude and the reception guy is probably the most sour person I have ever met! There is no pool, Internet and cable tv is rubbish! Stay else where!

The manager has the worst attitude of anyone I met in India, was rude to me and I say him being extremely rude, actually mean, to other patrons as well. Way to make us feel welcome! If you have a bad attitude then you should not be working with the public. Also didn't appreciate being lied to about the room that I'd be getting. The place is also extremely hard to find. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

This hostel appears to be under new managment. It is the same reception as Kuldeep. When I arrived, they for whatever reason could not accomodate me in the New King dorms, so they upgraded me to a much nicer private room in an afilliated hotel at no extra charge. I therefore can't review the hostel, but this show the staff is quite consciencious. It was a bit hard to find. Take the tiny alley across from Hotel Vivek (a well known hotel), walk straight to the end, turn left & walk 5 meters.
