A great and friendly hostel a little out of town, but close to the airport and only a short bus ride to the centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the free breakfast was delicious. Not many people there during our stay so hard to comment on atmosphere, but we would definitely recommend.
Very hot Hostel but very good pool, Perfect for a quick stop but nothing super special
The hostel had a pool which was is its best feature. The hostel has two different rates, one if you book direct with the hostel and one if you book through hostelworld (more expensive). The rooms are small and they retain the heat even with a fan on the whole night. The hostel is not near anything since Guayaquil is so spread out. It's always a taxi to get anywhere though a bus to the Malecon.
No Air condition...but for that you have a great Pool!! :-)
Pros: Generally friendly and helpful staff, nice hot shower, strong ventilation for stay in such a hot city. Cons: Staff forgot to call for cab, did not seem to have many occupants although it could be because it is low season. Room is not totally clean (found tissue paper underneath the bed), motion sensor not working as it should, so end up being in the dark trying to find keys to open doors.
I only stayed the night, but it was decent and in a quiet area, about a 10 min taxi-ride from the airport. A couple of food places are nearby. The large pool is nice.
