The blonde girl running the place has the personality of someone who obviously doesn't want to be there. Wifi is terrible. Breakfast is average, the lady serving it makes it feel like a huge effort. The pool is ok. The bar has no ambience at all, basically there is no positive energy at all in this hostel. The mattresses were very cheap flimsy foam ones, you can feel the bed slats underneath. Super hot in rooms and noisy fan. For the money there are a lot better options in Guayaquil. It's a jail

It was somewhat far from anything worth seeing in Guayaquil. The staff was friendly but not overwhelming me with kindness. The pool area was the best part, and was good for socializing. The dorm I was in was dark and dingy, but it didn't matter much to me as I don't spend much conscious time there anyways.

The swimming pool is excellent! Breakfast was good - eggs every morning! Dorms had heaps of room and had security lockers! Far away from the main part of Guayaquil though and not much happens at the hostel!

I had a pretty good stay at the Nucapacha hostel: it's situated in a nice area of town, the rooms are clean, the common areas are nice and the pool is great. I would recommend it to anyone then, if not for the staff. They seem utterly uninterested, unfriendly and just don't seem to care at all about their guests. Other than that, as I said, the hostel itself is pretty nice; it's just that the people working there should be told that working in tourism requires a bit of a different attitude.

Reasons not to go to it: 1. Staff are very cold although they speak perfect English. May be they are too young. 2. My room is very dirty with some chemical smell. Asked to change room but the answer is no. All rooms are full. spray some air fresh. that's it. 3. No air conditioning. Terriblely hot. 4. Mosquitoes everywhere. I can't stay inside or outside. Nightmare with this hostel. Thanks to God it's only 2 nights! Don't go this Hostel!

Very good hostel in Guayaquil. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. It is a bit far from the centre but easy to get to on the bus and there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. Good kitchen and pool, but there were a lot of mosquitoes at night.

excellent backpacker hostel. quaint, great (safe) location (Urdesa Central), attentive staff, and the free compliment breakfast is made to order (it's cooked as soon as you request it).. so much better than other hostel experiences. few bilingual staff, and a wonderful home-y atmosphere.

I stayed in this hostel for 3 days and also booked my last minute Galapagos with them. The hostel is good, the pool is great and the Galapagostour was AMAZING.
