Hostel One Malasaña Reviews

This was a very fun&friendly hostel! I enjoyed the location-great tapas bars nearby, close to metro, walking distance to major plazas and sites. The locker was too small for my bag but I felt safe leaving it in my dorm. Good wi-fi connection, kitchen area & other facilities. Hot water is intermittent but if you shower at night or super early you will have no problem. Overall great experience!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was easy to find and near tons of restaurants and bars. Plenty of free computers to get online, and they let you use the hostel facilities if you left your bag there. I just wish there wasn't the one unisex bathroom, though it makes it better that there are sinks in the shower rooms.

Solid hostel with very friendly, helpful staff. Good location - a little bit far from the museums and tourist attractions, but in a cool part of town with good cafes and bars. Could be noisy at night if you're in a room close to reception, though.

This the best hostel that I've stayed in in Madrid. I've stayed in quite a few and hated all of them, but I loved this one. The staff is amazing, the place is clean and cute, the kitchen is well stocked the showers are nice. I also have this weird thing about lighting, and the lighting there is really nice. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the place.

I'd say this place is perfect. Perfect reception people, perfect atmosphere, perfect location. Would love to see this place and the people again.

Me gusto mucho quedarme en este hostal, la estacion de metro esta muy cerca y tambien te puedes ir caminando para llegar a los lugares turisticos como 15 min. El ambiente esta muy bien y el staff es muy amable, en las noches realizan cenas para todos. Me toco comer spagetti y crepas. El unico detalle fue que los baños comunes casi siempre me tocar sucios.

nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'hotel one. Ambiance sympa, apéro ou petit plat offert le soir, personnel disponible. le quartier est génial. dommage peut-être que les murs soient un peu fins, et qu'il n'y ait pas un salon où se retrouver car la cuisine est un peu petite! une spéciale dédicace à Sol et Leon, nos gentils réceptionnistes/cuisiniers/animateurs qui nous ont supportées pendant une semaine...on recommande+++

Uno de los mejores hosteles que he visto ! Perfecto para viajeros solos, ya que el equipo siempre organisa unos eventos para familiziarse. El ambiante es muy agradable ! Auberge de jeunesse très sympa, à 15mn du centre à pied, avec une équipe très sympa qui propose régulièrement des animations : paella, sangria,... contribuant ainsi à donner une atmosphère très chaleureuse à l\'hôtel ! The staff and staff alone made this trip. Soll was amazing fun. The entire place was made so much better in my books just because of the staff. Theres no common room, just a small computer room and kitchen. A TV or something in the main lobby and another couch could make it double as something of a common room. Otherwise pleasant, walking distance to most sites so all in all not too bad. A little sterile, I suppose, but very very clean.

THE BEST hostels I've stayed in, however, one of the staff kind of had mood swings with me. He would sometimes be an absolute angel and would go way beyond what's required, but other times, he could become rather offensive. Unfortunately, this kind of stuff gets to you when you travel alone, and ended up upseting me. I apologise to the rest of the staff, tho, for not being able to give you the highest rating, cuz really you guyz deserve being marked 200% for ALWAYS going the extra mile...

I enjoyed our stay at this hostel. My boyfriend and I stayed in a Private room so I can not speak for the dorms, but our room was good enough for what we needed. Computers available in the main area, at nights dinner was made by the staff and people staying at the hostel so that was fun. Didnt like that we had to share the toilets and showers, but they were clean and actually had women\'s shower supplies there so that was really nice since we were traveling with ryanair. I had a great time there, staff are very friendly. In one of the nights that I was there, we could have paella for free ;) ...everything was ok, I have no complains!!

Best stay in a hostel so far, though that might have had something to do with the free upgrade from 12 bed male dorm to double room... Cleanliness is comparable to other hostels. Might be useful to bring earplugs, as other guests can be noisy till late at night (I'm talking about the EUROPEAN, not Spanish definition of "late ;-) Enforcement of quiet hours would be useful, though I can guess that the staff is hesitant to do that, as not to displease guests.) Extremely friendly staff!
