The relatively new Hostel One Paralelo opened in 2011 and has received very high ratings from our reviewers ever since. Our guests say the 'cool, friendly and family-like vibe is set by the owner himself', with attentive, friendly staff and clean, new and comfortable beds. It's located near Paral•lel metro station, 'super close and convenient to the centre of Barcelona', within walking distance of Plaça d'Espanya, La Rambla, Plaça Reial and more. We like their free nightly dinners, made by the staff and designed to create a communal family atmosphere.

Our custom-designed hostel features thick, comfy mattresses, instant and long-lasting 24hr hot water, bright rooms with windows, free Wi-Fi and computers where you can upload your memory cards.
We have a fully-equipped kitchen at your disposal. Even better than that is our sunny patio with Jacuzzi and BBQ to rest and chill out from this crazy city. Our TV gets most sports events, from English premier league to NFL, plus a load of new movies.
But what will make the difference is our staff - a mixture of residents and travellers with different backgrounds that are happy to help you sort out whatever you need. Between us we've got a maniacal attention to music, improvised Spanish- and Italian-style dinners, BBQs and crazy and innovative outdoor activities so you can discover our city from a new point of view.
For us it's not a matter of travel, it's a matter of experience.
-Please notice that our 6mixed dorm is not suitable for light sleepers, other persons need to come through this rooms to have access to their rooms-

What makes us special is that our place is like a house. We're usually able to remember everybody's name. We help our guests plan their days here in Barcelona from their point of view - for instance, we'd send an architect on a 'modern architectural route' - whatever you need, we try to make it happen...to a certain point, anyway.

Personally, I like to send people to a very unusual but definitely local place - an anti-bomb hangar very close to our hostel, only visitable on weekends; also San Antonio market, where the locals go shopping. We've got the best horchata place behind us, the oldest 'bodega' in town is around the corner and the oldest bar around, called Mersella, is just 500m from us.
Our perfect guest is a solo traveller or a couple of friends, but of course everybody has a good time down here. In the morning we have a free walking tour; we offer several different attractions like renting a longboard or rollerblades and in the evening we usually have a PPA - personal party assistant - coming around to show you some local parties.Hostelworld Guests Say

Holy smokes, where do i even begin? I read reviews about this hostel prior to booking so i had incredibly high expectations before arriving. With that said, Cynthia and the entire staff were amazing! After the first day, i felt like i was part of a family. Free breakfast and dinner was a bonus. Met lots of great people from around the world, good way to connect/come out of your shell. I HIGHLY recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to Barcelona. You will regret it if you dont! - Esther

This property has a 2 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.

Our earliest check-in time is 9am. We like to sleep, too!
Our latest check-in time is midnight but if you let us know ahead of time, you can check in later than that. Keep in mind that our booking system uses a 24-hour clock.
If your arrival time is different from reception hours or you are changing your arrival time, e-mail or call us directly to confirm your check-in. The reception should be made aware of any change in your schedule.
Let us know if you have any special preferences. We will try to do our best to satisfy your expectations!
We accept cancellations, but our policy is 2 days (48 hours) in advance of arrival. If you do not show up for your reservation and do not contact us, we may charge the first 2 nights of the accommodation to your credit card.
