The hostel was fantastic! Clean and friendly- just like a home! As soon as you come into the hostel, the staff makes you feel welcome, seeing if you´re hungry- helping you get settled and giving you tips and advice about what to do in Barcelona. Angel is truly an angel! He pulled out a map and circled EVERYTHING that I should do, what time, and even gave me safety tips! I would definitely stay here again, and might even come to visit when I´m living in Barcelona, just to hang out. :)

The staff were incredibly hospitable and fixed us excellent dinners every night for free. They took us on bar/club tours at night which was great since it's hard to know which ones to go to. Highly recommend this hostel.

One of the best hostels i've ever been on my trips. The staff is excelent (first level), is a realy cool place, very comfortable, and you will feel like if you were at home. This is the best option in Barcelona!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very approachable. Close to metro. Wi-Fi throughout. Breakfast was included and group meal included in evening if wished. Good advice about places to visit, and food to try.

The best way to maximize your experience traveling abroad is to stay at a hostel with an excellent staff. Hostel One Paralelo is unmatched in this area of backpacking and I highly recommend a visit! Three people in particular -- the Italiano, Sevillano and Ingles -- deserve mention b/c of their outstanding on-the-job assimilation with backpackers. In other words, they become your friends (and feed you too). Great work guys, b/c of you many people will return and recommend!

Great staff, mood and atmosphere. You can challenge Angel at chess, or listen Valerio singing Opera napoletana. Nice breakfast and dinner rules - everyone can help cooking!!!

Awesome staff, awesome atmosphere. At first the common area might look a little small, but the staff are great at getting everyone together and making a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They're all more than willing to help with a smile and are full of information about the city and even travel advice for other European cities. They organized a pub crawl or some nightlife outing almost every night as well as a communal dinner. A few metro stops (2) away from the centre but MORE than worth it.

this is indeed one of my best experiences in Spain. the staffs are super friendly and helpful, they cooked dinner for everyone for free and introduced everything about barcelona. the location of the hostel is just beside the mountain and I had a nice walk to the castle from the hostel. strongly recommended, this is a place where you feel like home!

I hate to be unoriginal but Hostel One Paralelo is the best hostel I´ve stayed at by far. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, Angel, Valerio, Niko, Lalla, and Dean are all very friendly and love talking to everyone and spending time with the guests. The facilities are top notch and the free dinners bring the guests together where everyone talks and networks like in few other hostels. You will make a LOT of friends here. Angel y otros, add me on facebook! sam_walsh48@hotmail.com

Possibly the best hostel I've stayed in! The staff, especially Angel and Dean, couldn't have been friendlier. Printed things whenever they needed to be printed, helped with tickets for entry, gave us an exhaustive rundown of the city, always greeted every guest by first name when they saw them! Angel even cooks free dinners for his guests - a more welcoming and friendly person you couldn't hope to meet. Good area, nice bathrooms and good chill out area. A little loud at night but its a hostel

My time in Barcelona was wonderful!! The facilities at the hostel are modern and comfy! the staff were all great - always happy to give you info and answer your questions!! There is a wicked vibe at this place...friendly and communial...great for meeting fellow travellers. it was easy to walk or catch the train anywhere. They took us to get places at night and helped us find the activities or places we wanted to find! Thankyou for a fab stay!! Would recommend to everyone :)

Definitively the best hostel that I have visited during the 2 months of travel around Europe. Keep up the dinner, it's the best part of the experience. I'm sad to hear that Dean (the Brit) is leaving. When he leaves, I think it's important to have one native English speaker in the group - to avoid any misunderstandings or and provide different perspectives. I will definitely return to this place in my next travels to Barcelona. :)
