By far the best hostel of my trip! While the facilities, location and food are all excellent... what sets the hostel apart are the staff! Angel, Gonçalo and Valerio did an amazing job of making me feel welcome. They had fantastic advice on where to go, what to see and how to get there. I can't thank them enough. They treat everyone as family and it really shows. Their evening meals create a great vibe and are a chance to meet people. I highly recommend a visit and can't wait to go back!

Amazed at how kind and thoughtful the staff were- from the moment we walked into this hostel until the moment we had to leave, they were there to help with absolutely anything you needed. I have stayed at other hostels in Barcelona, but none that could ever rival the awesomeness that is Paralello. If you are in Barcelona, stay there. If you haven't planned to go to Barcelona, go just to stay there! Seriously. It's the closest you will feel to home at any hostel in Europe! Thanks again guys!!

Great staff. Great hostel.

They cook a communal meal at 8pm each night and the whole hostel sits together and eats. Afterwards everyone hangs out til it's time for the pub crawl the goes into the wee hours. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Only reason not 100% is location but it's easy to overlook and is just a quick metro ride to downtown.

By far the best hostel I have stayed at. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and really help you get the most out of your time in Barcelona. Couldn't think of anything to change or improve.

By far the best hostel I stayed in during my trip! The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, the hostel had tons of fun activities planned, and the free dinner was delicious and a great way to get to know the other people staying in the hostel. Whatever you do, if you're going to Barcelona you HAVE to stay here.

This was definitely my favorite hostel of all the one's I've stayed in. It facilitated a "getting-to-know-you" atmosphere with a good sense of family, just what the traveler away from home is looking for. The staff was so friendly and hospitable, and the dinner was absolutely delicious! The location was also really great, very near central Barcelona.

This hostel is hands down the best one to stay at in Barcelona... Great location, Phenomenal Staff, free dinner, very friendly environment that is extremely conducive to meeting people. Definitely a great deal, I was very impressed! I don't even normally write reviews but don't stay anywhere else if this is hostel is available, trust me. Barca is a great time as well!

I really enjoyed my stay at hostel one. I can definitely recommend it. It was great in the evenings when all the guests gathered for the free and allways delicious diner. You meet a lot of people. Quite good if you are travelling alone. And the staff was really cool. Thanks Angel for the lesson in chess. Youre so cool. And thanks Valerio, for always spreading positive atmosphere and the good music. Keep the hostel how it is.

This hostel is the highlight of my entire 3 month abroad experience. The staff (especially Angel, Paulina, and Cynthia) aresome of the kindest, most welcoming people I have ever met in my life. Not to mention their hospitality and fantastic cooking! And everything was so very clean and friendly. Angel made it very easy to find everything and make friends immediately. I felt like I was leaving a new family when I left! Do yourself a favor and stay here! You will NOT regret it.

A great hostel.

I've been traveling all over Western Europe alone for work recently and was so pleased to find this hostel--I think it's the perfect environment to make friends with other like-minded travelers and at the risk of repeating other reviews you may find it truly does have a very homey environment. The staff are all bright, cultured and fun loving and completely at the disposal of the guests in a way I've never seen before; I will always rememberHostelOne and am grateful to have met lifelong friends!

Hands down one of the best hostels I have been to. The staff was downright incredible, and the (free!) communal home-cooked dinners were fantastic. They were always available to give advice and help out. Location is good, lockers in the rooms, and overall I had a blast. The only reason I am not giving this a perfect score is because I paid for a 6-bed room, but you had to pass through it to get to two other rooms, which I always think is a lame move. Still, this is a must-stay hostel.

You guys are great. Such a great, friendly, and helpful staff. Whatever I was trying to do, you guys had great tips and were extremely helpful. I hope to visit Barcelona again sooner than later and I would definitely hope to stay at Hostel One Paralelo again!
