The great things about One Paralelo: the staff, the free dinner (just ask for tips!), the common area, the location. The things we didn't love: the bathrooms...they were clean but definitely smelled funky. Happy to have a warm shower though. Also, you have to walk through other room's to get to your own...we weren't huge fans of that. Otherwise it's a pretty good location, the staff is really great and it's a place to rest your head!

The best hostel I could have asked for! The staff was amazing and really made us feel at home! They showed us the best places in Barcelona and made an unforgettable experience for us!

I visited more than 150 hostels in my life and hostel one Paralelo is definitely in my top 10. In particular I liked the free breakfast and the free dinner. Yes, it's totally free, believe me. However, you can give some money to make sure future guests can also get free meals. For solo travellers, it's very easy ease to interact with other guests. There's one thing though: don't do the so-called 'ghost tour': it's a whole lot of walking, a tiny bit of talking and very poor English.

EVERYONE WAS FANTASTIC!!! I felt like part of the family right when I walked through the doors! Questions were asked, and the staff went above and beyond the word hospitality. I was extremely sad to leave my family that I had made. I will tell EVERYONE i know who will be visiting Barcelona to go here. It made my trip!!

Hostel One Paralelo was wonderful! It was definitely beyond my moneys' worth! The staff was so friendly and helful, and the atmopshere was fun. They cooked us a free dinner and there was free breakfast as well. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. I would definitely recommend this Hostel to anyone and everyone!! :)

This place is the traveler's dream hostel. The second we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member who made us feel at home right away. They are very, very accommodating, and I couldn't have asked for more!

The second I walked into Hostel One I was blown away with the helpfulness and enthusiasm of the staff. Our group got way more than we expected including free "family" dinners where we got to know other travelers from around the world, free maps and recommendations on where to go, and always interesting, friendly conversation. Also offered was a free bar tour one night. I fell in love with Hostel One and will now be disappointed with any other place! Definitely planning on returning!

Amazing hostel and the staff are unbelievable in the best way possible! I would definitely go back and recommend it to any of my friends. It felt like I was at home and met a lot of wonderful people. Nothing bad to say at all :)

Hostel One made all the difference in my Barcelona experience. I loved the staff and vibe of the atmosphere. After stepping into this place you instantly feel welcomed and comfortable. The advice, tours, and food could not be beat. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and can only express positive thoughts about it.

Highly recommend this one~ ppl extremly nice and kind hearted. So helpful! I have spent very good time here! Location is very nearby the metro station and rooms are very clean. Plus the free dinner and bar tour are so amazing! Don't miss this one!

Easily the most fun hostel I've ever stayed at. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It is situated only a 10-15 minute walk to Las Ramblas and is only 5min from the metro stop. Free dinner saves you a lot of money and is a great way to meet new people.

Loved my stay here!! I don't normally leave reviews, but wanted to in this instance because my experience was so great.

We had an amazing time there!The staff was great (on a level I never found anywhere in any hostel I've ever stayed at), everything was pretty clean, the location was pretty good (perhaps not saying it's excellent it's a great injustice because we can't expect a discount hostel to be located at a prime Barcelona spot, but well), and the tiny details (like the dinner meals) were marvelous. The only thing worth nothing is the showers' size: for a guy my height it gets complicated, but that's it.

Angel and the team at Hostel One took no time at all to make us feel welcome and point out the best spots for a typically Barcelona experience. The home cooked dinner was such a nice treat and the on site bike hire was great. Our room was a little complicated as it was a room that housed two others. But we were hardly in there so it was fine. Great work Hostel One we will be back :)

Best Hostel I have ever and probably ever will stay at!!!!

I'm an avid traveller and have been to many, but this is by far the best hostel I have ever been to. I booked for 3 days and ended up extending my stay three times! Think personalised tours, delicious dinners (thank you Valerio), plenty of laughs, drinking and an abundance of genuine friends. The staff; Angel, Valerio, Vicky and Dean are incredible hosts who transform the stereotypical hostel experience into the ultimate Barcelona visit. Can't find a better group of people or hostel!

Great hostel, great value for money, great staff. Will definately come back there if I ever go back to Barselona. Valerio, you made my days in Barselona :}
