On arrival the staff member on duty was unfriendly and barely greeted us. We had booked a double room and we were then shown to a seperate room right next to a busy road which had dirty walls, broken floorboards and dirty bedlinen. The fan or air con didn't work in the room too. Breakfast looked poor and as we were unsatisfied with the hostel we were given back the money we had paid minus the deposit paid to hostelworld. This was the only positive we took away from Hostel One. Stay elsewhere!!!

Staff were mostly rude and unapproachable. Guest fridge didnt work and we were told we had to take our food out of the staff fridge which did work. Room was dirty and basically on top of a noisy highway. Only redeeming factor was airconditioning in room.

The hostel is in a fine location and it is a typical BA like house with character. Inside most areas were clean however the showers and our twin beds room were medieval. The dorms and double private rooms however were more than fine.

good hostel with everthing you are looking for, AMAZING location DO NOT STAY IN THE MICROCENTRE, fast and reliable internet, although i booked a double room and got a twin it was still a nice hostel with fun and friendly staff
