Great staff. Great outdoor common area. Great location. And bedrooms were good. It made staying in nice really fun and relaxing. I would come back and recomend!
I was here for a little over a week and had an amazing experience. My room was a very reasonable size, beds were comfy and bathroom was clean. The stuff we're all very lovely, both pleasant and helpful as it was my first time in Nice. Hostel Pastoral comes highly recommended and will be visiting there again next year.
Value for money was pretty poor. The shower flooded and had black mould, our bed mattresses were very lumpy and thin, likewise with the pillows. The kitchen facilities are very average, not enough cutlery to go around at breakfast time. The only good thing about the location is that it's close to the train station. You have to walk a good km to get to the beach.
Just a short walk from the station we entered the hostel to very welcoming staff and a helpful receptionist. That's where the fun ended. Our room was dark, dingy and un clean. The bedding was so gross I wouldn't let my dog sleep on it. No clear allocation of beds meant we came in to find someone in our bunk, having moved our things. Not much of a communal feel and needs a good clean, the bathrooms in particular. We didn't even shower during our two night stay. I would not recommend this hostel.
I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Hotel Pastoral. The hostel is well located across from the train station and a short walk to the old town and the beach. The staff is helpful and the rooms tidy. The air conditioning in the room works properly, as does the free internet. The kitchen has basic amenities and the roof-top terrace is really great for eating and hanging out. The breakfast is below average (toast and jams with coffee for sale) but fine.

Great people - both staff and other travellers! Located at a convenient and central location..just a bit away from the beach (but not much)..recommend it!
Great location, staff are friendly, not the best kitchen facilities but not the worst. Bathrooms could be cleaner but on the whole it was a very comfortable stay. The resident turtle chased me.

Very good hostel, ideally located within 5 mn walk from station and city centre. Very clean. Our room had its own shower room, air con and a fridge which was brilliant. Double glazed windows which was great. Staff very pleasant and very helpful. Kitchen is clean and had basic equipment but no fridge (not sure if there is one in the dorm rooms). There is also a terrace off the kitchen where you can have breakfast.
Very nice hostel, though a little warm. Very close to public transportation and regional transportation. Very close to sights and beach. The balcony closed around 9:30 so then the kitchen becomes very loud and filled. AC in our room was broken which didn't help with hot weather. Overall nice though.
Fantastic hostel, great staff, great free breakfast and terrace, wonderful location. Only thing was the noise, if you can't sleep with noise around you (from the street) this isn't the place for you. Would definitely stay again.
A nice hostel, very close to the station. The little terrace area was a nice place to hang out and meet people. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach which wasn't that far, and it was at the top of the Main Street so near to lots of shops and supermarkets. Great security, with a code to get in the front door, then a key for the front door and another for the room with lockers also provided in rooms. The shower wasn't very clean and would flood, which wasn't great. But overall a good hostel 👍
Good hostel in walking distance, for people who take the time and enjoy the city, of train station, beach, bars/clubs, etcetera. If you're in more of a rush buses are available. Didn't get full rating because breakfast could have better (relative to comparably priced hostels) and the shower had a bit of black growth on the edges that could use a good cleaning. Overall recommended.
Good hostel, centrally located next to the main train station, easy acceble from the airport by the no. 99 bus. About 10 min walk to old town. Quite simple facilities, but well attended, well cleaned every day. Simple breakfast; toast, Nutella, milk, cereals, juice. Cooking facilities quite ok though! The staff is very nice and attentable, eventhough not very familiar with the region it seemed. Very nice patio, which unfortunately closes at 9 pm, due to neighbours.
Atmosphere was okay but staff and facilities were worse than okay best thing about the hostel is its location
Friendly and helpful staff, however, not the best location for a female travelling alone as there were a lot of odd characters around. A lot of the times I didn't feel safe. The bathrooms were not clean, the beds were the most uncomfortable of the whole trip. Air conditioning didn't work in my room.
Average hostel. Location good, near central train station. Approx 20 min walk to the beach. Not very clean and not a great social atmosphere.
there is not 24h reception but you keep the keys for the hostel and your room so you dont have to worry about entering, also it is safe as there are keys for everyone in the room. there is a kitchen and a lovely garden which is very nice, also mini fridges and lockers in room.i definately recommend.
we were not very impressed by this hostel. It smelt really bad and our room was very dirty and stinky. it was an ok place to post up for the night but I would not have wanted an extended stay here
