This hostel is a familiar place and private good. I just suggest you stay with private bathroom. Is close to the main avenue (3 blocks), and very close to the Museum (10 min walking).

They never responded to an email I sent prior to arrival (or the 2 follow ups). Manager didn't speak english (which is fine but wasn't very good at communicating w me). And after breakfast no one from management was ever around. I had to ask a neighbor for a match to light the gas stove.

it's a nice and quiet place. They've picked me up on the airport even without arrange with then. The Wi-fi it's VERY slow, but it's not their fault since, probably the whole island should have a bad connection.

Perfect for backpackers: Nothing special and quite basic but clean rooms at fair rates and helpful staff. Only real downside is the internet connection which is really slow. But there are internet cafes nearby which offer fast and affordable connections.

Everything depends on the room where you stay. There is an old part of the hostel and a new one. first nights we stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom which was humid, not very clean and uncomfortable. But then we moved to a double room with private bathroom and it was perfect! We had everyday cleaning service,it has everything you need. So it reaaly depends.

Unfortunately, not recommended. Rather expensive for lower than normal quality of housing. One day the staff left the key with all keys to the entire hostel stuck in my door!!! Anybody could have taken it and gotten into any room! Also, when I locked myself out, my own key was put in the door from the outside and anybody could have gotten in. There are no lockers. Nothing was stolen though.

We were picked up the the airport, as pre arranged, despite the multiple delays our flight had. We did not find that there was an overly welcome atmosphere, there was no information provided about activities in the area or current shows, we were told to go to the information centre. We were met with attitude when asking for breakfast 10 minutes late. The showers had 2 minutes of scalding hot water then went ice cold.

As Hanga Roa is very small, every location is near to center, shoppig, restaurants, harbour and moai. So was Peteru Atamo. We arrived one day late because of a flight delay, they charged us only the two nights instead of three without even asking for it. The room was small but for a short stay absolutely okay. Breakfast was simple but good, bath nextdoor hat low pressure on water, but that was no problem. Internet is slow, but we didn't expect other. All together a good hostel for the price.

I love the place, its really near the town center, the room was nice, the breakfast is very good, the people are kind and helpfull. its more a hotel than a hostel, so it dont have a locker, you leave your stuff in your room.

Excellent service, airport transfer service included 24 hours a day, also in the middle of the night, they help You in case of delay, telephone to the airport, tell You what's on with Your flight etc. You"ll not find a better service in any hotel.

This was to be my first hostel experience and without a doubt it could not have been more enjoyable. To be completely fair, I'm basing this review on my second hostel experience (in A. Calientas @ M. Picchu) as a comparison of quality and value. The staff at Petero Atamu were amazing, very attentive and guaranteed a breakfast every morning (varied day-by-day); but most importantly there was a clean towel waiting in a cleaned room every day upon my return -- priceless. Met some great people !!

The woman who runs this was VERY nice! She arranged pick up at the airport (though we somehow missed each other--no mind, a 3.00/$6 taxi took us) and dropped us off at the airport on the last day even though our flight was at 6 a.m. Breakfast daily was simple and delicious, and the place had hot water and plenty of water pressure. 5 min walk to beach. Super nice lady, and I'd go back again!

Tks to Lori and her wonderful family/teamwork. Tere and I spent a great time at your hostel. Given the relative high prices of the island, Petero Atamu is a great value for money:9/10, kind staff, confortable and clean rooms, decent breakfast, secure acommodations and location. Why not 10/10? wi-fi is quite slow. Overall, it´s a great deal and we´ll come back there if we return to Rapa Nui soon (such a wonderful and magic destination, don´t miss it). Warm greetins from Lima-Peru; Iorana

I had a wonderful time overthere! The owners are really kind & very helpful. My flight was delayed of 1 day and they did everything to make it simple and easy. They came with me at the airport to make sure about the informations given by LAN by e-mail. The atmosphere of the hotel is nice. The only thing is that the wi-fi is really slow and you can get it only from the patio, but the good point is that every one goes there, so you can meet other people very easily. Thanks a lot! =)
