The room that I stayed in was really unpleasant. It was hot and didn't get much air from the small window. The fans didn't help much. It felt like walking into a smelly boys locker room, and I arrived in the middle of the night!

The bedroom is not too airy. There are fans, but the window of the room is not suitable for a space with 6 guests.

we stayed there for more then a week, and will stay there next time for sure. the beach is 1min walk from the hotel. special thanks to the guys at the front desk. they are the ones who make the atmosphere of the place)) everytime u pass by the reception you would get a kind smile and even if u dont speak portugues you would get very detailed directions from them so u would never get lost in the city) muito obrigada Jamille, Raphael and Guelermo!!

Avoid this hostel, there are much better hostels in Salvador!!! This hostel looked, smelt and felt old and dirty. The mattresses looked like they were bought in the 1960s - dirty with stains. The rooms are very hot and humid and do not have air conditioning but only a noisy fan so it's almost impossible to get a good night's sleep! I had booked two nights accommodation but left after one night and forfeited the money spent to move to somewhere cleaner - Galeria 13 is where I recommend!

First time in Salvador and couldn't have been a better start. The staff were great! The place is very friendly and safe, with reception staff on call 24h a day. Located like 1 min walk from Porto da Barra beach and close to bus stop and market, I've found it really easy to get around the city. I would definitely recommend it and book a second visit.

Staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful, booked tours for me, gave advice, always with a smile. Good facilities - internet/wi-fi, lounge area, kitchen. Great location also - a 2 minutes walk to the beach. Supermarket right outside the door of hostel. Would come back, for sure.

The character of the hostel is nice and it's right next to the beach in Barra, but the staff was very disappointing. It's well-known that you cannot book flights unless you are Brazilian and have CPF (social security number). None of the members helped resolving this issue by offering to buy the ticket with their details in exchange of cash or even deduction from hostel rate. When i asked them they came up with a lame excuse that they left home their credit cards. Rooms were not great either.

Great location, perfect for carnival. The staff were incredibly unhelpful and unorganised to the point where we avoiding having to talk to them at all costs.

Good place for carnaval. Although hot water for showers would be nice...
