Run down and drab. The staff were asleep in the hammocks a lot of the time and didn't help with any information about activities, how to get around etc. Water pressure is attrocious, and the sinks were blocked with hair. Walls are paper thin. Only positives were the location near Barra de Lagoa beach, free pool table and strong wifi.

Staff were really great and very helpful. The owner Chris is lovely and so friendly. He gave us the 4 bed dorm to ourselves as we were a couple even though we booked the 6 bed one. Caipirinas are great too and cheap! Very relaxed atmosphere, will come back next time I'm around for sure!

This hostel is exactly what I was looking for because I heard Florianopolis was a laid back place and this hostel does an excelent job representing the atmosphere of this peacefull island. The staff was awesome and very helpfull and I would definately recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a good time!

Dirty bathrooms and kitchen, for example ants on cutting boards, blocked up toilets, dirty water from the tap (brownish). No possibility to dry washed kitchen utensils so the stuff is just stapled next to the sink.

It´s not the clean and comfortable kind of place, but with a good crowd, you´ll love it.

This is not the cleanest location, but the ambiance and the atmosphere between people and the staff were so good!! Reggae music in the morning, the breakfast is until 12, the staff is so cool!! We had a great time in this place! I recommend it!

It was so hot in our private room that we had to sleep with the window open. On our second night someone came into our room either through the window or the door and stole some of our valuables. The people from the hostel were shocked and very kind. We checked out a day early and there was no problem and didnt have to pay for the extra night.
