Really nice hostel! Loved the staff and the private room called "Frida" after Frida Kahlo. The only thing I missed was a kitchen. Don't bother the old comments, new owners is doing the trick!

I stayed at the dorm and enjoyed my stay. The location, people and value for money kept me from leaving. I left Tulum for a few days and kept my valuables in their locker with no problems. There seems to be a new management and some changes / reconstruction is in progress and everything does not seem 100% settled yet. (Routines, Room reconstruction etc)

The fellow who runs the place is not very organized. When I arrive he didn\'t know that I will be arriving. he couldn\'t connect his computer in order to verify. He didn\'t have the place I had reserved available. So he gave me back the money i paid for the reservation and i went on looking for a place to stay. So much for Marco Polo Divetulum. I think he is more into diving that into keeping up the hostel business.

I made a reservation a month before to make sure I would have a bed in December 31rst. I received a confirmation number. When I got there, an hour before the hour I told the owner, he told me there were no vacancy and he also told me that Hostelworld booking was "chit" and he didn't consider the reservation number teling me that tourists were a bunch of ass holes because they often make reservation and finally do not stay because they don't like the place. The guy kept the deposit and yelled!

First time at a hostel as they came highly recommended by a friend. This one was ok but not all it claimed to be. Be sure to arrive before 6 or 7 or he'll fill your place. In our room, there was no air conditioning and only cold showers. Biggest complaint was cleanliness. Kitchen fridge was full of old food and previous tenents' trash was left to rot outside our door for a full week. The bike rental was much cheaper than other places. Must go to the beach for better food/fun. Long walk there.
