Directions to Hostel Pousada Pais Tropical

Our hostel is located in the historic city center in Largo do Pelourinho. In this square there is the Museum of the City (large yellow building) and the House and Foundation, which is a tribute to the famous Brazilian writer Jorge Amado (big blue building). Face to these two buildings and looking left you will see a narrow yellow building - it is our inn, 'País Tropical'.
From the airport:
Leaving the airport of Salvador: Please take the bus toward the Square until the end of the path ônibus.Desça the bus at the end point and see our map. We can also offer you a shuttle service from the airport of Salvador to the door of our guesthouse. The price of this service costs 70 dollars. If you need a bigger car, the price of service is negotiated via e-mail and on the number of people who come.
From the Port:
The port where the catamarans arrive in Morro de Sao Paulo up to our hostel, the duration is about 15 minutes on foot. After leaving the harbor, head toward the Mercado Modelo, a large building located opposite the port. We get the whole market and the street. We face the Lacerda Elevator, which will take you to the Pelourinho. The price of this elevator trip costs 15 cents. After heading to the upper part of town, you will meet in Cathedral Square and the continuation, follow the map to our hostel.
From bus station:
After getting off the bus toward the exit of the station's main road, people follow the footbridge Iguatemi. Better go to the second exit, and take the bus to Barroquinha, and get off at the point of Tabuao. Another option would be to take the bus in front of the mall called Iguatemi. Go right to the bus stop. There you catch a bus called Cathedral Square. You can use a small minibus with the same name, which costs the same as a normal bus and get there much faster. Get off the bus at the end and see our map. A taxi from the bus to our hostel can cost around 25 reais, but before getting into a taxi, make sure you negociate the price with a taxi driver first.
