Great location on a quiet street but still close to all of the action of the area. Staff was very friendly too.

Seems to be a great hostel, except for the fact that they OVERBOOKED and kicked me out the second night, in which I had a confirmed reservation. Overbooking...I thought it was some erradicated issue, not even Ryanair is doing that nowadays. Totally pissed off at them
Barely any amenities, fair walk from any train station, rooms and building have 0 security, very poor experience.
This hostel was excellent! All of the facilities were fantastic and clean, more than what you'd expect from a hostel. The reggae playing in reception was amazing as were the staff. They were so helpful with everything from trains to places to eat and drink. I would totally recommend staying here if for nothing else but the location. It was so easy to go from the hostel to the places i wanted to visit in Osaka. 10/10 would stay again.
Very chilled hostel, liked the reggae music playing in the lounge and entrance areas.
Location is the best. Hostel Q is walking distance to Namba and Shinsaibashi. Most of things were good, especially staff are very friendly. but they don't have hand soap in washroom and shower room. so after use the toilet, you must take your own soap. also. just 1 toilet in the floor .
Excellent location, after 10 the door closes and you can only get in with a code, however, the door to the sleeping dorms are unlocked to everyone from outside before 10 and other guests, it was reasonably clean and staff friendly, ok hostel
The staff there are passionate and helpful. However, somehow something makes me feel that there are some problems about the management there. Though I know it's sort of inevitable, the fact that my facial foam was stolen did affect my feelings about the hostel itself. Considering its superior location, Hostel Q is still worth to recommend for those who can tolerate hustle and bustle.
The hostel is very close to the Dotonburi area, which is a prime area for entertainment, food, and sightseeing. For people arriving to either Shin-Osaka or Osaka stations, additional transport is necessary in order to reach the hostel.
Despite the excellent other ratings, i found this to be pretty average. Things like the fines for breaking some rules don't really give you a welcoming feeling. I just feel that compared to other hostels in Osaka it's not enough to be next to Dotomburi to make me choose it again.
The staff at this hostel are really sweet and freindly but the place is run down and there aren't enough bathrooms/showers for the number of guests.
I enjoyed staying at Hostel Q. The staffs are really helpful and kind. I liked that they put curtains for every bed so that you can have your private time/space while staying there. The location was really good even though i got lost at Namba station. but once you find exit no. 25, it is really easy to find the hostel.
The location if this place is unbeatable - right in the heart of Namba /America district, which made going out great. The staff were excellent. However, given the location you expect this place to be much livelier - though I think this is a general issue with Japanese hostels (esp if you're a lone traveller.)
