I absolutely loved this hostel! The breakfast and dinner were delicious and it\'s really nice that they come included in the cost of the room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and it\'s walking distance from the ADO bus station (though a cab was really reasonably priced at 300-500 pesos). My favorite part was the rooftop area for sunbathing/gathering with people. Can\'t say enough about this place, I\'m definitely going to stay here again next time I\'m in Cancun!

This is our second stay at Hostel Quetzal, we stayed in the dorm (last time we stayed in the double private). Beds were comfortable, room is breezy with aircon at night, good breakfast and dinner included. My only complaint would be the bathroom. It is cramped with only 2 showers/2 toilets - not enough for 16 people. Also wasn't a huge fan that they were unisex. That aside, I would still definitely recommend staying here!

As far as I know the best Hostel in Cancun. Its staff, private rooms and facilities are outstanding. The room fee is very reasonable, and includes a real breakfast and dinner, always prepared by a local chef with a great taste for Mexican cuisine. Another plus is the fact that every night you have the chance to meet other tourists literally from everywhere in the world, while enjoying dinner and tequila shots. Although it is located 6 miles from the hotel zone, the transportation access is easy.

Great fun, great value with breakfast and dinner included, and really easy to meet people at dinner each night. Organised trips down to the hotel zone clubs for those who were interested, and were able to book tours as well. Friendly, welcoming owners. Dorm room is basic - bunkbeds and creaky fans, which made for some hot, noisy nights depending on how late people got home from the clubs, but the rooftop terrace, shady back garden and welcoming atmosphere definitely made it worth it.

Unfortunately I just needed an overnights stay to get my flight out of Cancun the next morning, otherwise I would have loved to stay longer in the Hostel Quetzal, the staff was very nice and there is a typical mexican dinner everynight, just great, I loved it!

Awesome hostel in the centre of cancun with lots of character, nice gardens and a roof top tarrace bar. Free breakfest and dinner was really good and made my stay very economical. Staff were excellent and provided good info and organized party nights to the hotel zone. Very satisfied.

I planed on only staying there for two nights but ended up staying for a whole week. transport was cheap and easy to get to the main beaches and night life. 24 hour sercuity ment that i could come back late at night or earely morning. It was the cleanest hostel ive stayed at and the food was served twice a day, made by a qualified chef . the hostels was close to local resturants and markets. All the staff were incredibly helpful with directions and infomation 10 out 10.

If you're looking for a hostel in Cancun, this is it! Great atmosphere, excellent value for money (you get breakfast AND dinner daily), accommodating staff, gorgeous old Mexican style home. Its downtown but within 5 mins walk to the nearest bus to the hotel zone and costs 80c to get there. Can't fault it, will be going back in a few weeks.

Most amazing accoomodation Ive ever had in budget places. Beats every hostal in south america and all the hotels under 200$ a night. If you want to meet interesting people and other travellers, this is the place. The staff is amazing and everybody who have interests to go partying this is the Hostel you want to get. My experiences are based on 7 night over there and I will definetely recommend this hostel for everyone. Greeting to the staff, especially Gerry, Brian and Luis. Best regards, Miko.

You really get something for your money: breakfast, dinner, cheap beer, friendly staff, TV, computer, garden area to relax. But: not everybody will like the cleanliness as especially the shower area is annoying (2 toilets, 2 showers for a 12-person-midex-dorm might be ok, but who would expect that the shower area is mixed, too?) and the cleaning personal was so nice and left one roll of toilet paper for a 12-person-dorm. That's definitely NOT helpful!

We were warmly welcomed after a long flight. Had a private double room which was light & spacious. The bathroom was clean and shower had great pressure. The place had a young & friendly backpacker vibe; but we just spent our first night here in Cancun before heading to Isla Mujeres. It's well located - close to the ADO bus station, catching a bus out to Hotel Zone, & a taxi to Puerto Juarez were the ferry runs from. The food included was tasty. Overall a good spot to rest before escaping Cancun.

1) Bathroom is too small - You can't keep your clean cloth dry if you bring them in...It shouldn't be like that! 2) People tend to party a lot and don't show much respect to people who need to rest.
