Best hostel to stay in by a long shot, only down point is that its a trek to the beach. Quality amosphere

Ammmmazing!!! A great people running the hostel, extremely accommodating. Excellent atmosphere if you are into partying it up in Cancun. Great memories. I will be back!!!

This hostel has great character and an atmosphere to match. Staff are super friendly and really look after their guests. We stayed in a private room with ensuite and it ticked all the boxes. Loved the evening dinner (and free shot of tequila!). It was a great way to meet new people and usually led to a fun night out. Minor cons: Internet only available in common areas. If you're looking for a good night sleep this is probably not the place to stay.

It's a good choice for a day or two in cancun. Hard to find it, just park your car next to las palmas and ask people while walking. Fair experience, they gave us a single room while we booked for a double and they just add a pullout bed. Again, it's a hostel, so you don't expect awesome facilities although I felt good and would get back for the value and location.

Overall I thought this was a great hostel. There is a fun atmosphere and free dinner/breakfast which is of a good standard. My only criticism is of one of the members of "staff" there when I stayed - an arrogant guy who was overcharging people for arranging nights out in the clubbing district and barging into rooms like he owned the place. I can only assume that this guy was just some traveller that the hostel hired for a few weeks and it is a shame, as the rest of the staff are great.

Loved staying here! Met a lot of awesome people & Monica (the owner), chef, & staff were great and so accommodating! Love the private room we had, would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a great night of sleep without being bothered by the guest coming home late.

This hostel is excellent, don't stay anywhere else in Cancún. Breakfast is cooked not your standard bread and jam, and the dinners are tasty and a great way to meet everyone at the hostel. The staff are suoer helpful. The hostel will transport you to whichever nightspot they're hitting that night. Seriously an excellent hostel.

There was no warm water available during the 4 days of my stay. Maybe that has been fixed by now. In Generall a verz nice hostel in which it is extremly easy to meet other people, because of the included breakfast and dinner, which offer rather small rations and the perfect chance to meet other travellers.

Well, Hostel Quetzel It's a very nice place, with a great atmosphere, but have few problems. First, they r not well arranged, everything is written on little notes, and it got lost, they did a mistake with my booking and I needed to move to another hostel (much better btw, Mundo juvan) few days after I've booked in. Second, there is NO hot water, NEVER, and it's the regular condition. Third, to sleep in the big room is a nightmare, if u gonna stay there make sure youll b in the 5 ppl room.

Still great hostel in Cancun city, staff is awesome, clean rooms, has nice atmosphere. Special is the dinner at evening where it is easy to meet fellow travelers and make friends. Will come back yet again

Definitely a party hostel, don't stay here if people having fun offends you. Cool place to chill out, the two guys working there do a great job getting people out in the evening. The free breakfast and dinner was great, and there was a good atmosphere around the dinner table, the dorm is good and kept clean, and the staff were great. I recommend it.

Great hostel comfy beds, a bit pricy for Mexico but so is all of cancun... Staff are friendly and paddy knows how to get the party started! Would go back again for sure!

the hostel is very near to ADO bus terminal, and to markets, the atmosphere is nice, i love the garden and the rooftop but the beach is far,...

best place ive been on my travels by far and im booking after this to come back again. staff were exellent couldnt of done any more for me, chef amazing free dinner and breakfast better than anythin i got in restaurants and was always clean which always makes things nicer. its a party hostel and thats why i stayed here always a good vibe staff always get the guests partying and make sure they enjoyed themselfes and the nightclub brought to was amazing will def be back on my return next week.

we stayed there only one night, we slept in a 4 beds room, the room was brilliant. very girly and clean.,. the staff were very friendly. and the dinner was good! we had a good time, even if it was short we will come back there again soon...

Good visit. The vibe was not as sweet as I have experienced at Quetzal in the past...but that is more about me than the hostel maybe, but the staff seemed a little worn down and not as excited to be there as in the past. One suggestion to consider is offering free drinking to guests. If it is not too cost prohibative - that perk adds alot of comfort to the stay.

I had the best time of my life at this hostel The staff were the best, Patty and Brian did a great job at aranging nights out on the town! Rebbeca was very helpful at internet reserch and finding me just what I was looking for, only disapontment is that she has a boyfriend.. I sayed a week and met people from all over the world. Best hostel in Mexico for 3 years in a row for a reason, AAA+ Will be back again soon Jeffery from Canada
