Great Hostel, amiable staff and very safe.

Breakfast and dinner included, very average quality cooking, extremely slow service, an hour's waiting for dinner to be served. Dinner at 8pm but serving arrived at 9pm. New Year's Eve waited till 10pm for meal to arrive!! One customer was left without anything to eat and was still waiting after everybody's finished! It would be much better if meals are self-serve. Recommended tours are pricey; however, staff is helpful with information.

An awesome place to stay!!! The staff there are really helpful and are super cool!! everything is really clean and has a really nice homely vibe... we would definitely stay here again!!

A great place!

This is the best value for money in about 50 hostels that I've stayed in so far. I spent no money on food - they fed me well in the hostel. The big room with 16 beds is very nice and practical. The bathrooms are great, everything is spotlessly clean and the atmosphere is incomparable to any other place that I know: we all fell in love!!!

I loved and enjoyed every moment at Hostel Quetzal! The people and the staff where great and the food... Wonderful! I doubt I would have had such a great experience in Cancun if it wasn't for this great Hostel!

It is a good hostel at a good location. Food tastes good as well, but is not much in quantity. A good place to meet friends though.

The staff was wonderful, and dinner was great. I the internet access was also a bonus. I definitely recommend Hostel Quetzal.

Wonderful hostel! The meals were amazing and I especially loved sitting down for dinner with everyone; it was a great way to meet all the others in the hostel and is something I haven't found at other places I've stayed. The dorm was a bit noisy at night, but that's to be expected. The rooftop lounge was also a great place to hang out with and chat with other travelers. I highly recommend this hostel

Good hostel. Located in downtown Cancun but easy to access to beach area by bus. Fridge full of beer and cocktails on offer. Clean spacious private room with balcony (!) Right near the supermarket. Atmosphere is great as they cook evening meals included in the price, so everyone is forced to interact which is such a good way to meet people. I would stay here again.

Wonderful hostel, one of the best ever!! We were like a family there. TIt makes my stay in cancun much more fun and nice. The food is great, the staff adorable. I definitely recommand it! Deborah (la chica francesa/israelita)

THANKS SO MUCH!!! my friend anna and i had the most amazing time in hostel quetzal. the staff were so friendly and it felt really like home, i could stay there for months. all the staff were very helpful and the meals were amazing! We all went out as a group at night and hung out together all day, such nice people and the travellors we meet also were so much fun and very friendly. wifi was great and bathrooms very clean. also the upstairs rooftop was so great to chill when hung over. thanks!!

Really cool hostel! Fun time. Julio makes a wicked mojito. Dorms are comfy, whole place super clean, roof deck is a neat place to take sun or chat. Many travellers either starting or ending, cool scene. I highly recommend!

It was a great room for the three of us.. with my mom and dad. The room was gorgeous. I just wished they offered me the other wifi because it has a better signal for our room. Overall it was good, although sometimes the free dinner they offer do not taste good :) Breakfast always the same. The price for the tour changed and went up by one dollar each person. Although it is just a dollar, it is still not good for business. Now it makes me think that they can just change the price if they want to.
