Kareem! Kareem was a really great host! He makes the place very comfortable because he is so relaxed. Everyone sat around talking because the place was so relaxed. I made some good friends and had a great time! Thanks Mama Marrakech and Kareem.

The staff is great and the hostel has a very nice atmosphere. It was great staying there!!! However, it'd be good to watch out for the cleanliness, specially the bed clothes.

Great place to meet people. Location can be hard to find because the hostel doesn't have a Sign on the outside. Anyway, it's super near the main square Jam El Fna My suggestion is to buy a calling card and call the hostel when you're near the bank BCMI. They will meet you there. Awesome staff and good breakfast as well. Thanks everyone!!!

Extremely nice staff, relaxed atmosphere, very clean and great value for money. We decided to come back to Marrakech quite spontaneously and they even let us sleep on the rooftop because the hostel was already fully booked!! The only thing is that they are quite slow in answering emails, that's why the airport transfer didn't work out. Also, if you book on a verbal agreement you cannot be sure that they remember your reservation, so keep telling them more often ;)

We thank you for your review. Under usual circumstances we are very attentive to the emails, however we recently experienced Internet troubles that are now fixed. Rest assured that we take the needs of our clients very seriously and unless there is a problem, we do respond and execute all requests.

Amazing place esp. for the money, breakfast is nice, good chill out areas upstairs and downstairs and Karim will help you out whenever he can

My only real complain is that they should picture the dorm in the images. While I find no trouble, some may find annoying that the beds are actually mattresses lying on the floor. There is no sign pointing that the house is a hostel, which actually makes it more charming. And the patio in the interior is absolutely great. Breakfast could have a little more option (bread, egg and sugar bread), though. Like fruits or something. Way or another, it's a great value for money.

The staff was not very atenttif. There are 3 bathrooms for all the guests wich is uncomfortable.

Owner Comment (Hide)
We would like you to know that one dorm has a private bathroom for that dorm so there are actually 4 bathrooms on the premises and an area with a fully functioning sink and mirror for washing hands, brushing teeth and other small hygiene needs in addition to the 4 bathrooms. That is one bathroom per dorm, which is more than other hostels we have visited. As for attention, you are not specific but please be aware that the needs of our clients are of the utmost importance to the entire staff!

Very good value for money. Nice cozy place, easy to get to talk to other people in common room or the roof terrace, only 5 minute walk from the Jemaa El Fna square. Friendly staff, not too good english, but helpfull. Very good plentifull breakfast included ( bread, eggs, pancake, coffee). Small lockers for valuables in every room (no extra charge). Okay size and clean bathrooms. Only part not too good was the beds (kinda hard, kinda short mattresses on the floor) and that people smoke inside.

Mama Marrakech was a charming little riad style accommodation. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Whilst the beds are just mattresses on the ground the sheets and blankets are clean and the facilities are nice.

You have to visit Mama Marrakech with an open mind. It is certainly a real experience living like a Moroccan in a traditional Riad. The atmosphere is nice with a real easy going bunch of people keen for a relaxing holiday. The staff are very welcoming and keen to join in with the fun. In all honesty definitely some serious room for improvements of hostel cleanliness, but no complaints - I had a great time!
