We had a great stay in this riad, they made the best tagine in the whole of Morocco which was amazing value. The roof top terrace was perfect and gave the place a real social atmosphere. only 5 min walk to the main square which wasn't a problem, overall a wicked hostel.

Very friendly/helpful staff who monitor the door 24/7, so totally secure. 3 min walk to the center of the medina and main square, but just isolated enough for peace & quiet. It\'s a little hard to find the first time, but easy thereafter. Good free breakfast and mint tea. Hostel can organize excursions to the desert, which are good and avoid risk of being ripped off. Only downside is guesthouse setup with open courtyard, so if other guests are noisy, you may not sleep as well. Outstanding hostel.

Mama Marrakech had the nicest owner/staff of any hostel I stayed at in Morocco! It also had by far the best breakfast of any Moroccan hostels. Crystal and staff will go out of their way for you! This hostel is pretty cheap, however, so be aware you are making a few sacrifices for the price. There is no wifi/internet, laundry facilities, or even fans in the rooms, which got pretty hot. If those factors don't bother you, you will love it here, as everything else is amazing!

The staff at this hostel are great! Can't speak highly enough of them. They went out of their way to make me feel at home. I came and went over a week, and was able to turn up and know there was a bed for me after various 2 day trips. One morning I had to get a train at 5am, and Kareem (prob not spelt right) was up making me breakfast before 4am! Really sweet. Great random dinners too - amazing tajine. Thanks for a great stay.

Yousif and Crystal were great hosts who gave a good intro to Marrakech and what to expect as a tourist in Morocco. Its a short walk from El Fna square and the trip to the Sahara was great. I have recommended Mama Marrakech to a number of people I meet on my travels and will continue to do so.

I don't have words enough to describe how amazing this hostel is! The owners are very polite, usefull and open minded, with a good sense of humor. This rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. The hostel is actually a typical morrocan house (riad) with an interior courtyard and terace when you can stay with hours taking, sleeping or drinking the best mint tea you've ever had. Kerim will serve you the most delicious morrocan breakfast possible. Thank you all ! Mersi Kerim pour tout, a bientot!

Our stay at Mama Marrakech was fantastic. The owners were absolutely lovely, really friendly and extremely helpful with regards to information about what we should do in Morocco, where we should visit, restaurants and general advice etc. The hostel has an awesome rooftop lounge for chilling, and an amazing boho/moroccan feel with gorgeous colours, pillows, paintings etc The atmosphere is open and makes it easy to meet people and chat with other travellers and plus it's really central. Perfect!

Mama Marrakech is pure perfection. Having trekked from Tangier, Fes, Casablanca to (Mama) Marrakech, Crystal (American) and her husband, Youssef (Moroccan) have created a private oasis right in the heart of Marrakech. I jumped off the train and walked to MM following the minaret of Koutoubia. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Crystal and other pleasant guests. I loved the beds and showers. The rooftop is amazing. The staff so attentive. The location is convenient to EVERYTHING. STAY!

Staying in Mama Marrakech was really nice! Staff was very helpful and kind, breakfast was so delicious and very moroccan, you can get mint tea when you want. Spending evenings in the terrace upstairs or listening music downstairs and chatting with people from all over the world made this trip to Morocco even more special and unforgettable. Atmosphere is great! We will come back to this hostel for sure! Crystal and Youssef welcomed us here like at home! :) Thanks for hosting!

The place has a warm and homely character with warm vibrant colours. Much thought and love has gone into it. I was made to feel right at home in a city which otherwise can feel quite bewildering. Breakfast was a feast to look forward to everyday, and all staff were friendly and always on hand to help. There was plenty of flexibility to leave luggage and extend stays on an ad-hoc basis, depending on how various excursions outside the city ended up. Internet access would have made things perfect!

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in (and I've stayed in a lot). The welcome that I received was second to none and was even offered mint tea and to share a delicious freshly prepared tajine. The rooms are spacious and everything is kept spotlessly clean. The staff are all really friendly, especially Crystal, nothing is too much trouble, the hostel is run with evident passion. It is a great place to meet other travelers too as there are some beautifully decorated communal areas.

Absolutely gorgeous. We were greeted with mint tea (delicious) and the breakfast was phenomenal. I dream about those crepes and jam already. Crystal was fantastic at orienting us with Marrakech and the location was unbeatable. Just a few minutes walk to the main square.

This was BY FAR the best hostel I've stayed at in the world, and I've been to many countries in the past few months. The owners took an authentic Moroccan home and created a hostel, keeping every bit of the authenticity. The lounge/lobby area is full of comfortable couches, where you can lounge and look at the sky through the open roof. They serve AMAZING tea all day and into the night, free of cost. Breakfast was great too! I couldn't recommend this hostel enough for a true Moroccan experience!

I loved this hostel, Crystal was very helpful when we first arrived. The breakfast and tea are amazing! However, we stayed in the room on the bottom floor right next to the common room, and we couldn´t sleep because we could hear everything that was happening in the common room, there is only a thin door and sheets separating them. I would recommend them instituting quiet hours. Besides that, the trip was excellent and I wouldn´t complain about anything! The terrace was absolutely gorgeous!

I had a lovely stay at Hostel Riad Mama Marrakech on my recent trip to Morocco. I can definitely see why they won an award for \"Best Atmosphere.\" It was my first time staying at a hostel and I was quite comfortable. The hostel offers free towels and a big breakfast each morning with delicious crepes, Moroccan pancakes and hot coffee. The owners are excellent hosts and their staff is quite friendly.

My god, this place was a dream come true. In the heart of the city this lovely home lies. And yes, I say home. They make you a home made Moroccan breakfast every morning. The place is utterly beautiful with a roof top hangout. It was so tranquil, a lovely get away from the intense inner city. It was 10 minutes walking into the main square and next to a secret entrance to the markets. It is hidden in a small alley (so don't be alarmed when you cannot find a sign), keeping you safe from the outside.

We were 5 girls travelling to Marrakech and had a wonderful stay at Mama Marrakech! Crystal and Yusof was the sweatest couple we've ever met.. They were very helpful with whatever we needed. They even provided heaters for our room since we came during the rainy season and it was freezing!! The hostel is located right at the city centre, it was really easy to get around. Absolutely loved the breakfast! delicious! and also loved the fact we can ask for mint tea whenever we want.. :)
