We loved this hostel, everything is always clean the wifi worked really well and is free, the staff are amazing and will do everything to make our stay a welcomed one. Ali, Madeleine and the rest of the Marrakech Rouge staff organised a beautiful big dinner for all of the hostel., this was personally our favourite part as everybody got together like a big family. Thank-you sooooo much Marrakech Rouge for our lovely stay!!!!!

As an older couple we were very pleased to relocate to Rouge 2 which is operated by the same people,it's just a few minutes walk away from Rouge 1 but has a very quite calm atmosphere, and more suitable for mature couple, we stayed 9 days in the double rooftop room ,a great holiday and minutes away from the markets and square, we had a great stay and thank the staff for all the attention and help they give so generously and the Moroccan breakfast in the cool central area,

I would recommend riad Marrakech Rouge to anyone looking to stay inside the Medina. It is easily accessible by taxi or else it is a short walk from the main square. We stayed in a private room and it was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful as well. Ali, the manager, made our stay even more comfortable. He helped us with directions and also with transfers in and out of Marrakech; He saved us time and headache. Overall, I would give Riad Marrakech Rouge 5 stars.

The staff were immensely helpful at everypoint during and after the stay. Excellent mint tea. The guy who runs the hostel ali is an absolute legend. The hostel also is very clean and homely. It is also very close to the square which make it very central. Definitely will be returning again here!! :)

I wouldn't recommend staying here. My room (4 person) was tiny and on the roof of the building. My head was practically touching the head of the person sleeping next to me. There was no air conditioning and the window was open all night. i got bitten by mosquitoes. The shower facilities were poor, it was like a hose. although it was a friendly and social hostel it was impossible to get a good nights sleep.

We stayed in a private room with a bathroom and the bathroom was terrible. There was no hot water and a leak in the ceiling over the toilette so we used the shared bathrooms down the hall instead. Its not really worth it to pay the extra for the private bathroom, otherwise the hostel was fun.

Nice hostel near the square. Disorganized staff. Beds were double and triple booked while we were there. While we were off on an overnight trip they let someone take my bed and move all my stuff off it to another room. Also we asked and confirmed several times that they had booked us a taxi to the airport as we were leaving early in the morning. No taxi showed up and the staff was not helpful and kept going back to sleep. It was an hour late and we almost missed our flight. Good breakfast tho.

Hostel's a bit rundown..toilets were kinda broken, one shifts when u sit on it..1 bathroom was clogged so u are basically bathing in a flood, another bathroom had ocassional hot water but only cold water most of the times. Another bathroom looks like a construction site. The sinks are all clogged too, pretty challenging to brush your teeth. But the staff are nice, that's the only good thing. internet only works downstairs though

Good hostel overall, staff are excellent. Place is clean but security could be better. Great place to meet other travelers, swap stories from the road and plan a tour. Wifi was poor and washroom facilities need to be updated. Free mint tea and sheesha all the time. Perfect place to escape to after the madness of the market.
