I love this place - I stayed here my 1st 3 nights in Morocco and then returned on my last night. The guys that work there are all brilliant - I cannot give them enough praise AND thanks for making me feel so welcome and always happy to help (I always seemed to be bothering them for something) :-) nothing was too much trouble. The only comment I would have is the 2 matresses i slept on both had bad dips in them from where people slept - it was a bit uncomfortable and would recommend to replace.

Simply the best!

The owners are very friendly and helpful however the assistants/staff are not very attentive and you need to ask several times for any service or assistance. Plus for being flexible and letting us change our days on short notice to do a trip to the Sahara. We did not feel comfortable about security as our doors did not have locks (inside or outside, for two different rooms), there was limited security at the gate, and our passports and valuables where left outside the safe for parts of our stay.

After traveling for years this is by far the worst hostel I've ever stayed. The no-window room was dusky, dirty and smelly. Only thing separating the toilet from the bed in the room was a curtain. Besides all this the hostel was extremely noisy and you couldn't sleep before the hostel parties ended in the night. The staff was friendly though. This hostel can only be recommended if you are looking for partying.

Hi there, We are not sure that Marrakech Rouge is specifically a 'party hostel' - it is a nice place to meet and connect with other travellers - though as you stayed over the new year period, there were indeed celebrations as would be appropriate for the festive season surely? Apart from new year's eve itself, the signs around the hostel which you would have seen ask guests to be quieter after 11pm. Best wishes for future travels,

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in, period. It's huge, beautiful Riad style hangout areas and roof, constant flow of interesting people, right in the center of old Marrakesh. Most of all, everyone working there -especially Ali and Fran- are two of the most wonderful, helpful, hilarious people a traveller could hope to meet. Marrakesh is a crazy city, and I think if we'd been staying anywhere else we wouldn't have had NEARLY as positive of an experience. Place to be in Marrakesh

Full of character. Lots of decorations and painting on the walls. Very colourful. Nice clientele.

Very nice, colorful place. Staff is very friendly and will help you with plenty of stuff, don't hesitate to ask them for advice! Only thing: it is located in a dark little street, which doesn't really inspire the feeling of safety...

As a 45 year old single traveler I always stay at hostels so I can meet and hang out with people, I always make sure I am in a central location, and I always want to stay somewhere that I feel I can trust the staff to provide a safe, friendly environment and also arrange trips and offer good advice about the area that I am staying in. I got all of these at The Marrakech Rouge.

Great and friendly staff! There's a great terrace just to hang out in the everyday sunlight or to have a relaxing shisha at night. Malik, Ali, Jamal and Mohammed treated us like all-time friends, we are gonna miss you guys! and the great tunes at the living!

I really enjoyed staying here. The staff were so lovely and friendly and made me feel extra special on my birthday :) they provided us with lots of information about tours and further travel. The hostel was lively and colourful too, it felt very safe too, despite there being no lockers.
