In Marrakech, it is one of the best choice. The owner was very kind and the other steps were also kind. Compared to the hostels in Europe, it's disappointing, but in Morocco I am satisfied.

Very much a "backpackers" hostel - just as advertised. Authentic, but facilities etc not more than the bare necessities.

Nothing fancy here but it was a good vibe. I´m sure it is much better when it is warmer. I didn´t see any reviews that mentioned the lack of any heating in the winter so here is one now!

Dear Andrea, Thanks for your review. The hospitality, honesty and kindness of our staff, the tea, shisha, breakfast, dinner evenings with gnaoua music and all round unpretentiousness and friendliness is pretty fancy. Not material, or tangible perhaps, but definitely fancy - or certainly something you can't put a price on. Marrakech gets pretty cold at night in the middle of winter and no, we have no fancy heating system at the hostel. Best wishes for further fancy travels!

Highly recommended. RMR deserves all the accolades it has received & is one of the best hostels we have stayed at. The atmosphere is excellent, & the endless supply of free sheesha & tea, free breakfasts, & all the common areas makes it the ideal place to meet people. The guys working there are incredibly friendly and helpful - such a warm welcome. Perfect location 5min from the main square, and the hostel is an ideal base for the excursions they arrange. Bit chilly, but it was midwinter. Thanks

Should have lockers in all rooms and change all the beds. But a good location (it's scary at first but then you see it's very good). The staff is helpful and it`s a good value for money!

Stop reading the reviews and book it already :-). This was my second stay, and absolutely loved it. You can't go wrong with them.

The shower was cold, there were no lockers for the bags, the storage room was always opened, and our private room didn't lock!! I felt really bothered to leave my stuff there.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Dear Fernando. We are confused on many levels by your review which is factually inaccurate on every count. All the dorms have individual lockers for valuables. All the private rooms have a lock and key, and the storage room is only ever open is someone is in there storing a bag. The showers are hot. We can resolve cold showers whilst you are at the hostel if you inform us, but we are not able to resolve this issue for you after you have left. Best wishes for your future travels!

A really good atmosphere in a traditional riad, this hostel is run by some very cool people. Close to the main square and really comfortable.

Great hostel conveniently located. Staff are very nice and helpful and will always point you in the righty direction. Good place to socialize and meet fellow travelers.

You should definitely stay at this hostel. It is worth the premium over the other hostels. It has a great layout, well decorated, and an awesome staff. I ended staying another night, and they didn't officially have room, but they let me sleep in a roof top tent room which was actually turned out to be really awesome, although not for everyone (you definitely need quite a few blankets. The breakfast also was swell.

Fantastic hostel and staff, the lockers are too small to fit luggage in but good enough for valuables. Very friendly and helpful staff

When I got to the hostel, I wasn't sure whether it was a hostel or cafe. The main room was comfortable and the atmosphere was fantastic.
