Nice hostel with a really good breakfast. To make it even better it would be good if there were lockers in the rooms and more electrical outlets. The staff were excellent, the rooftop terrace a lovely feature, very good experience overall.

Staff are really friendly/ excellent, organisation lacks somewhat, but the staff make up for this.

It is an amazing hostel. The only negative point was the works that are being carried out at the moment. Although I understand that they are necesary to improve the hostel.

Not what I expected from reading reviews. It was a bit of a mad house - the many people working here are constantly coming and going and making so much noise. They shout around to eachother even late at night, music is playing loudly and it doesn't seem to matter people may want to sleep. There are no windows in many rooms so you hear everything. That said they are really friendly and it is a really great atmosphere here, easy to meet people. **CATS RUN AROUND INSIDE, was never told this before!

The staff seemed inconvenienced to have guests. The Wifi was only working in one small shared area. Our room had a window above the door but with no window pane and it was right next to the shared living area so it was very noisy. There are also no keys, (there were small lockers, if you bring your own lock,) which wasn't the biggest problem except for the fact that you have to ring the doorbell to enter. SO don't except to sleep much because you awoken by a doorbell throughout the night.

I had a great time during my stay at this hostel. The best thing is by far the hospitality. They will take care of you every step of the way, and its close to the main square!

We had an awesome stay here at Marrakech Rouge. The staff is amazing. They will make you feel right at home and treat you like family. Big thanks to hint, Ali, and the rest of the staff for everything. Hope to see you guys soon again!

The majority of the dorms open into the common areas which means that getting a good nights sleep is a bit difficult as you can hear everyone talking outside the door and the hostel play music until late as well which doesn't help. Checking in took ages as there was just one guy trying to sort out everyone and then they didn't have beds ready so we ended up in a different dorm to the one we booked. There is free tea and breakfast though which was nice. Its about a 5-8 min walk from square.

Hi Rachel, Thanks for your review. For future guests potentially concerned about showers - our new shower cubicles will be ready in the next few days - it won't be quite one per guest, but several more that before - which is good! All riad buildings open out to a central courtyard - it is the nature of their design and part of the character of the medina. Hotels with silent corridors would ensure silence, but without the atmosphere and freebies that hostels have! Best wishes,

When we first arrived here we immediately thought it was a brilliant hostel to have chosen however various cracks started to show. We were moved rooms after the first night and a few belongings went missing of ours. We asked four or five times with various answers as to where we could find our items and only found them when the member of staff who I assume was the senior manager stepped in and said they were found by some maid. There were no keys to our rooms either and strange children roamed!

Had higher expectations based on the other reviews. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The communal areas had a friendly vibe, but our room and the bathroom were not that clean, very basic, didn't have locks on them (which we weren't told before we arrived so had to purchase a padlock, and it was very loud at night. Great for Uni students looking to party, not so great for anyone older than that!

Such a wonderful hostel. The staff is the most accommodating group of people and we were snowed in last minute so went to the hostel early and they were able to give us a room on super short notice, which was surprising and wonderful as a group of five! The free coffee and tea was incredible! One of the best hostels I have stayed in!
