Nice hostel well located. best choice that you can do to stay in marrakeshand enter immeditely in the heart of the maroccan life style.
Great staff and atmosphere with all the travelers staying there. The facilities could take some improvement, but gives you a good idea of how Marrakesh is in reality. Special thx to Ali for all his help and for helping us clarify a missunderstanding with the tour agency.
Very dirty and had funny smell. Private rooms are horrible, better off in dorms. Showers hardly work and are dangerous. Breakfast is just horrible coffee with a selection if pastries and doughy goods. the best thing is the staff who are very friendly and helpful. Apart from that if you're 18-23 you will think its the best place ever. I'm just getting old but I have to be honest.
One of the nicest hotels i have stayed in. Breakfast was a feast!great to be greeted with a smile and some tea.
Ali is a nice guy but other staff, particularly those on breakfast duty were really rude. Even refused a request for a glass of water. No aircon which is unbearable at night. Very few toilets mostly located in shower rooms so if the shower is being used, toilets are hard to find. The tours the hostel recommended were average, partially the Ourika Valley which was a day of touts. Tiny lockers. One power point per room. Incredibly cramped rooms. I don't how why this gets such a high rating
The hostel has very nice decor but is a sweatbox that can be noisy at night. It's too expensive in comparisons to what the other hostels are offering.
The best hostel I have ever stayed at! Amazing character, free tea and shisha, the staff are amazing and fun! So close to everything.

I had such an amazing time in Marrakesh. The staff was amazing (especially Malik). Great place, would definitely recommend it to anyone!
This hostel has to be one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, if not the best! It is in a fantastic location, it is very clean and very secure. The breakfast is very very good, the tea is amazing and Ali and the guys that work there are so helpful and really make this hostel a fantastic place to stay. Big thanks to the Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge team!
Loved my stay here! Really cool place with a very friendly staff. They make you tea when you arrive and will book your excursions for you. Word of warning: do not stay in the dorms during the summer. They get VERY hot. But, I slept on a cot on the roof and it was much better. Stay here! It's a one-of-a-kind experience!
Pros: Good hostel located in the medina in Marrakech. Great and very helpful staff who are always around to offer information and local knowledge Cons: it was VERY hot in this hostel. I was there in the middle of summer and the rooms offer no ventilation, fans or air conditioning. Most nights it was very difficult to get a good nights sleep. Lockers are small (only to fit valuables)
This hostel deserves all the praise it can get. I absolutely loved staying at the Marrakech Rouge, we felt so welcome and at ease there. The staff were wonderful, our room was lovely, we loved hanging out on the roof terrace and I'll recommend this hostel to any of my friends who want to go to Marrakech. Thank you so much for making our time so incredibly enjoyable!
The shower was really bad, broken. But in general it was a good stay.
We arrived way before our check in time but the guys were super nice and set us up right away. They were great and made us feel comfortable. The only semi bad thing was after an exhausting day out we came back and found two condoms on our bedroom floor. However,we think it was a joke because they were definitely unused. The guys even offered us another room and everything. We had to catch a taxi super early and one of the guys walked us there just to make sure we were ok. Overall it was AMAZING!
Awesome hostel in a great location, such a cool vibe to the place and some really cool guys running the show. Would most definitely stay here again, for much longer next time!
Awesome hostel - free mint tea, coffee and breakfast every day. Linens are changed daily, and if it gets too hot inside, you can sleep under the stars on the roof terrace! I met so many great people here. This place attracts really interesting characters and caters well to solo travelers. Only problems were finding the place the first time (watch the video on their website on how to find it) and the not-so-super bathrooms/showers. I'd love to come again!
This place was awesome!!! Ive been travelling for 2 years worldwide and this place is definitely in the top 10 best hostels Ive stayed in. The friendliness of staff, the chilled out vibe, the location, were all top rate! I would suggest any person going to Marrakesh to hit up Riad Rougue! Much thanks to Ali and Madeline!!! TK out...
Very cool looking riad type design. Free breakfast is a plus of course. Only a short walk from the jmaa el fna. Good atmosphere for meeting other travelers as well. Only downside would be no air conditioning, so every night was basically a shirt off sleep over the covers night.
Ali and his crew of helpers and staff members were very hospitable!
