The right place for the ones who doenst like to spend to much time going to the beach or to the night movida. The location is perfect. I stayed 3 days in this hostel and i will recommend it according specially to the location, the nice athmosphere of the place when you easy met new people, the nice bar in the terrace with it's cheap prices and the staff that was very friendly and helpfull all the time. Hostel Rio Playa a place to return.

The WORST Hostel experience for me thus far! NO Water, which means NO Shower & NO Toilet and they charge for drinking water! The Breakfast consisted of Toast ( that's it! ) No Fruit, No Juice and again No Water, Just Toast...Cheers to that! The Mattress was so lumpy they should be embarrassed to offer it as a bed! There was a schedule for when the AC would be on every few hours, But I never felt it, definitely NO AC. There was no apology or apparent remorse for the deplorable conditions!!

Staying at Hostel Rio Playa was a great choice! The hostel is near the beach and just around the corner of the 5th avenue. We had a great time, specially by the hostel roof bar. Marcelo, the brazilian guy who works there, was also amazing and helped us all the time to get to the nicest beaches and best clubs. I would definitely recommend it and go back!

A good place to stay in Playa if you want to meet people and party. The rooftop bar is nice, and has free drinks in the evening. Unfortunately, we didn't realize this until we checked out! It's close to the beach and the main road. Can't say much of the room though, which had no windows and an incredibly uncomfortable bed. Plus the club downstairs is noisy until about 4 AM. It certainly encourages you to go out and take advantage of the night life, because you need to get drunk to sleep.

A great hostel. Top location. Just few blocks from main party street. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. I really liked the rooftop bar at night. Good atmosphere and cheap drinks. I recommend this hostel to other travelers.

This is a fun hostel to stay at, mostly because of the rooftop bar and pool area which has open bar and ladies hour and is great for meeting people. My room was on the roof which was nice, the rooms in the main part are a little stuffier and more crowded. The bathrooms consisted of two closets on the roof- one with toilet and one with shower.. wasn't bad at all but shower is just a cold trickle. No lockers in room, just safety deposit boxes by front desk. Kind of annoying for laptop/camera

The beach, the touristy promenade (Avenida 5), the ADO bus stations, numerous dive shops and good cheap local food are all close by. I extended my stay a few days because of the discount offered to their guests by Scuba 10, a great dive shop down the block. Be aware, this is a party hostel. If you're into drinking and socializing with your fellow guests, this is for you. Anyone looking for a quiet place alone, this is probably not for you.

The location near 5th Avenue is great. If you are in Playa for the nightlife, this place can't be beat. If you have any desire to sleep or rest stay elsewhere. This hostel is located literally on top of a very noise bar/club and the music is load all night long.

It was a nice experience.. The room was good, clean and confortable. The staff was really nice. The manager, Marcelo, is the guy! He definitely does his best to the guests!

Having stayed at this hostel two years prior i knew I was already in for a treat. The lay out of the hostel is perfect for interactions with other travellers from all over the world. Im a huge fan of the staff there. This is by far one of my favorite hostels in the world. I'll recommend this place to anybody.

From what I've seen and heard it's probably the best place (hostelwise) to stay in playa. Terace is perfect to hang out, rooms are clean and spacious. Only the breakfast is poor.

It was my second time! and i love this hostel. good party every night at the hostel if u wanna sleep then u won't like this hostel :P

Had an awesome time! Had a lot of fun for my birthday. I'm very independent so even exploring on my own was not too much of a problem

I stayed at this hostel for 3 days. The room was very clean, bathroom cleaned regularly, communal areas were sufficient and staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and were proactive in keeping the hostels standards up. The staff, on a number of occasions, went beyond their job when helping with one guest (who required a bit of babysitting) and they need to be commended for it. The bar is a really great place to meet fellow travellers. The club next door is loud if you want to sleep before 2am

This is a party hostel. Lots of people here wanting to party so if this is what you deffo come here.. If you want peace and quite do not even think about going here. Everyone is nice and friendly and helpful.

If you are a party animal, this place is for you. If you are looking for a quiet place take your ear plugs with you. Location is perfect and stuff is very nice.

Fun hostel, very near the beach and 5th avenue!! Good bar in the hostel wuth cheap prices for drinks! Not for going to bed early, there is lot of noise from the bar and street! Locely staff, very helpfull

Great place to let loose, especially with ladies' hour free drinks on the roof between 10 and 11. Not great if you want to go to bed early and the kitchen is missing a few essentials (like forks). Staff was amazing and very helpful.

Very good location. 2 blocks from the beach. Very nice staff, very friendly. They organize good excursions as well to the pyramids. Cylean youth hostel.And the best: a bar which gathers everybody and gives the possibilit to meet many people.
