Good friends, good times, great BBQ. Really close to the beach, dorms are very large so people are coming and going well into the night, and the pool is knee deep but, we had some fun and like grandma always says if you have some fun have one more!

I had a great Tim at Rio Playa. The staff were helpful and the atmosphere was fantastic. I met amazing people during my stay which truly made my trip!

it was a little bit to find hostel cause the big tree in front of it. But all things are blowing away. Nice and friendly crews, good pool of roof with bar make you happy. The best thing is really close to the beautiful beach. So you dont need to worry about taking shower, feeling cold. I`ve stayed almost one month. And all of things make me satisfied in Rio hostel. Plz don`t forget enjoying snorkling in Akumal! You can see many tutles. it takes just 20min from RIO. Thanks for every one. 대박!

Staff were brill! Very friendly n social atmosphere in general at the hostel! Only draw back was the pumpin loud music from the bar next door!

Good hostel. But the bed was really really bad. Music at the bar is to loud so it's hard to talk to other people. Location is perfect and I had a great time here.

O hostel é muito bom, muito organizado, limpo, tem um otimo bar, e as pessoas que trabalham lá são ótimas e atenciosas.

The place is perfect, unless you want try to sleep there: you will need really good earplugs because there is 4 different loud music being played to your ear at once: 2 from downstairs bars wich are next to the hostel, 1 from the reception and 1 from the upstairs bar.

We really had the best time there! All the staff is amazing!! Great place to stay and to party!!

The hostel is nice, good breakfasts, cheese and ham, well located. The bar on top is not more then ok. The main thing I was missing is a central place where u can meet the visitors, other then the loudy bar on top.

The hostel was one big family. The reception was great, the people were friendly and all in all it was one amazing experience. Everyone should stay a night at hostel rio at least once in their life. Definitely coming back here!

Greatr location but equally if not more important is the outstanding staff. Extremely knowledgeable about the area and very willing to help with all of your questions. You will be treated like family while there and greeted like family on each and every return. Special thanks to Marcello , Anet (sp?) and Victor among others. Gracias!

If you can sleep with the music at Mach 3 until 5 am, this could be the place for you. The "pool" is a kiddie pool. Shores were not clean. Security booted a couple doing the nasty in the male dorm at around 3 am. Got no sleep. Couldn't leave soon enough. Great if you're a sophomore.

Had a very pleasant stay! Staff were all helpful. The rooftop pool come bar was great for a drink in the evening (although the loud music made it a little difficult to hear - minor complaint) with excellent company from the bartender, Miguel, who was full of cheer and recommendations about where to go and what to see around PdC. My only other complaint is that the bed wasn't great - overly soft and springy - and that the shower pressure was poor.

Very central location. Although noisy before 1am. Great staff, very friendly and helpful.

Is an awesome hostel! Best things are its location, the people behind the desk, the bar staff at night who take everyone out and the rooftop drinking area. The only improvements I'd recommend is to get more cooking stoves (was only one when we left) and to replace some of the mattresses. But overall definitely recommended!

This place had good staff and the atmosphere on the roof at night was great. But the mattresses are truly uncomfortable, saggy with springs coming through that poke you in the back!
