The room was renovated and clean, only the Bath light did not work properly. When we arrived (6 p.m.) the rezeptionist was friendly but it smelled like he had some alcohol before. The most disturbing thing was, that some of the corridor lights didnt work (absolutly dark stairs at night) and the ground corridor smelled bad, when we passed it at night and in the morning (it smells like someone drunk is lying somewhere, but there was no one). Altogether is was ok, because the room was good.

Really nice hostel. Facilities were all clean and in good working order. Beds were comfy. Internet was reliable. Very quiet at night - had great sleeps! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Plzen. Thanks for having us!

The positives: warm room, comfy beds, good kitchen, enough toilets. The negatives: unattended reception, bad directions, not great showers (standard for a hostel)

The location of the hostel is great as well as the most polite staff we have met so far in Czech Republic. I would recommend the River Hostel to anyone who is visiting Pilsen :)
