Hostel Ruta 40 Reviews

Hostel muy comodo, limpio, y seguro. Un poco mas caro que los otros en el area, pero el desayuno es muy bueno, vale la pena! Lo malo es que no acceptan reservaciones por telefono, que es muy raro para Argentina. La encargada de la mañana te da unas explicaciones tan largas de porque no, que ni te dan ganas de reservar ya. Aparte de eso, recomendable!

Staff did not speak much English which is fair but they were not helpful. They said they would leave breakfast out for us as we were leaving before the breakfast hours but this didn't happen. Pillow was missing and when we told them, they did not do anything about it. We asked for the pillow again and she looked at us blankly as if it was a big ask. We got the pillow in the end though! The was a cheesy smell in the toilet as the bin with all the dirty tissues in it was not emptied for a while.

Well located Hostel in the center of Cafayate. Kitchen and bathrooms are clean. The Hostel is quite small, so not to many people to meet. Prices for beverages are to expensive ( 20 Pesos for a bottle of beer) and your not allowed to bring own stuff. The staff could be a bit more motivated, but they are not rude or anything. Basic breakfast ( Pan and Dulce de Leche)

The staff is lovely!!! The hostel is nice, with a nice female dorm, a quite large room with ensuite. The breakfast is quite average. The kitchen is small, but has standard equipment. The hostel could use a more cosy indoor room (where the breakfast is served, if it rains outside). Otherwise the breakfast is served in the patio.

Reasonably good hostel, nothing special. Comfortable and well located in a small town, but it was pretty quiet when I was there as it was almost Christmas.
