This hostel deserves all these great reviews. It's a few minutes walk from Westbahnhof railway station and about half an hour from the city centre (on foot).
Enjoyed our stay a lot! The staff knew all the best small restaurants and bars nearby. The vibe in the hostel was cool-instruments to play, drinks from the bar and a comfy lounge. Kitchen is large and there are easy laundry machines for pay. Cheap breakfast of: bread, cereal, granola, fruit cocktail and endless coffee. Our room had sturdy bunks and secure lockers. The ensuite bathroom was always clean. The doors we're manual lock so most days people forgot to lock doors. I would stay again.
Great little hostel. Very clean and welcoming. Would stay again.
We just stayed for one night, but it was very nice there and we would definitely visit this hostel again!

Don't look anywhere else, stay here. These people know how to run a hostel! Right next to a major train station, clean, warm rooms and super friendly staff. Thank you!!
Great hostel with very helpful staff and a nice relaxed vibe. It's not a crazy party hostel but it's fun. My biggest complaint is that electrical outlets in the dorm rooms are very inconvenient. If you're in the top bunk and you need to charge your phone overnight, good luck. If the person below you has already gone to sleep, you almost have to wake that person up in order to plug in your electronics because the plug doesn't reach far at all. But, it's clean, friendly and close to transit.
Good place. Being near the train station (westbahnof), the location was perfect. Staff recommendations were great! Breakfast system was a little painful. It can be a buffet instead of someone serving portions with many people waiting in queue.
A bit tricky to find initially, however this hostel is a gem in Vienna. Excellent atmosphere with a helpful staff who give out great recommendations-make sure to check out the local eats they suggest! Room was clean and quiet, bar was fun for meeting other travelers. Overall, once you understand the public transport of Vienna, this hostel is a great find and a convenient stay to get to all of the great sights Austria has to offer!
Enjoyed the room and the bar. They have some instruments people can pick up and play and good prices for happy hour. Very great place to chill out. We had a late train, the hostel had free lockers that we could leave our stuff in after we checked out.
Nice hostel with a good vibe just outside the heart of Vienna. The location is closed to subway station which is great, but a bit of a hike away from places if you intend on walking. The showers have a weird timer to them but that might be common for shared bathrooms, I don't know. The hostel was chilled which is a nice break from party hostels. The staff were friendly and provided help whenever asked. I did find it odd they charged for coffee, something I don't experience much elsewhere.
Just the best hostel in Vienna!! Amazing staff, bedrooms and localization! Just few minuts walking to the Westbanhoff station. Another great point is the breakfast. Very cheap price and great cost x bennefit ratio! You need to stay at this hostel when going to Vienna!
One of the best hostels I ever stayed, highly recommended!

Really nice hostel with a great a common area and breakfast (delicious and cheap). The rooms and facilities were excellent, as was the staff. The free computers were a great perk. Only downside is that the hostel is a 40 minute walk from most sights, but is really close to a metro stop.
I stayed in the dormitory and we had a private shower/toilet (with access to another if needed) which was awesome. The main building also has a lot of common area, a bar, and there is breakfast available for cheaper than if you go out. Situated near the train station/metro… super easy to get to main part of Vienna and to the bar/hip district as well. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Vienna.
We spent a good time at the Ruthensteiner. It was very quiet at night and the staff was helpful.

I used the 4 nights for the price of 3 deal on HW and absolutely loved my stay in Vienna. The hostel is located perfectly at Westbahnhof which is an easy access to everywhere and also just a 15 minute walk to Schonbrunn Palace. Rooms and common areas were really clean and it also has a chilled out bar. Staff were super helpful and at reception they leave directions to all the major tourist points to make life easy. Reception is also 24 hours so security is a plus. Would definitely stay again!
I loved it here. The staff were super helpful and the facilities were great. Large communal kitchen, bar area, several outdoor terraces, and a computer room. This is a great hostel if you want to meet other people, as the bar area was packed every night. The only downside to this hostel is that it is a little ways from the city center. I walked everywhere and it took awhile to get around. Otherwise, brilliant stay!
The atmosphere of the hostel was great. They provided free lockers so we didn't need to worry about our luggages when we arrived before the check-in time. We stayed in a four-person dorm and the room was cute. The hostel provided hair dryers but you had to ask at the reception. What really suprised my friends and I was that the wifi of the hostel worked very well and perhaps it was the best among all the hostels I have ever stayed.
