Very cute. Felt more like a guest house than a hostel. There's no common area or kitchen, but we only spent the one night and it was pretty much perfect, aside from the fact that our "double bed" was actually two singles pushed together, so there was no chance of a snuggle as one of us kept falling down the crack. There's a very steep and narrow flight of stairs you must climb to get there, so be warned if you have heavy luggage! Otherwise it was lovely

My friends and I booked this hostel at the last minute because we need a place to rest for the night in Florence. This place was a tolerable place to rest just for the night but to stay here over an amount of time I recommend not doing it. First off the directions they give you to the hostel are so horrible and you will be walking in circles trying to find the place. When it came to the rooms and bathrooms they were clean but needed improvements really bad. We had a shared room with two twin beds and the be

The bathroom smelled funny, but other than that we greatly enjoyed our stay! Excellent service and comfort. There are cute and funny signs all over the hostel.

The staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. While the streets were noisy outside (typical in Italy), the residents at the hostel were very quiet.

Room was a bit cold, and there should be something in the bathroom to drain the water after taking a shower. TV didn't work. The rest was ok, nicely located and room was big.

Actually Hotel Sampaoli was a really good hostel with its central location. Rooms are little bit old but clean. Only thing that bother us is; we stayed in double bed room but bed was really unconfortable. it combines by two single bed and get togethet so middle part of the bed was terrible. Despite the bed, eberything was nice in Sampaoli, for that price, great accomondation. I highly reccomend to students who want to find cheap and peaceful environment.

This hostel was a good deal for the money! Great location, walking from the train station and all the major sights in town. It was great for just a couple looking for a quite place but I wouldn't go here if your planning on going out to see the nightlife of Florence because you can pretty muh hear everything going on in the hostel all the time.

I found my room and the staff fine, but there was one thing that soured my stay - there are notes up on the walls all over the place (urging you to not throw things in the toilet, to get out and be a tourist and to bring complaints to staff) that are written in a really passive aggressive tone which makes it feel like you're staying with a vindictive ex with something to prove. Rewrite those things guys!

We stayed one night. A room was clean but shabby and very ,very ,VERY COLD ,heating didn't work at all. If you want to put yourself in fridge it's the right place, probably the right place for summer holidays. Reception works from 8am-8pm, staff was very friendly and helpful (They can book tickets to Uffizi museum). This hostel is pretty close to the main train station (900m) and the down town. I would say "It's a good place to stay for the price you pay", but the cold room spoiled my impression.

The quality of service bears comparison with London's Soho Hotel.

You must come until 8 pm, otherwise there will be nobody at the hotel... A little creepy atmosphere during the night, since there is almost nobody on the streets or the at the hostel. The bathrooms were very dirty!! But the rooms were nice. The location is excelletn though. You can do anything by foot and it's close to the central station and a lot of restaurants!

We were surprised when we arrived, since we booked a hostel and arrived to a hotel. The girls are really helpful and nice, it was very clean, everyday someone tidied your room. The only thing I missed was some kind of carpet on the bathroom, since it was somewhat uncomfortable to put our naked clean feet on the cold floor, but that's just a detail. It's pretty close to the center, 5 minutes from the Duomo and 1 from Galleria l'Accademia. It was great value for money and... canopy beds!!!

Hostel Sampaoli has a terrific atmosphere and a kind staff. It only takes about five minutes to get to the Duomo, the heart of Florence, and you'll be to able to explore the city with a good night's sleep thanks to the hostel's policy of keeping guests quiet and respectful. Only complaint: I was forced to pay for a night I didn't spend at the hostel because of a miscommunication. I understand the decision, but a business should consider that mosts guests would rather leave than pay this fee.

When me and my friends arrived in Hostel Sampaoli we were very surprised of the cozy and nice atmosphere in the hostel. The rooms were big and clean and everything inside was so italian...we felt in love with our big bed with baldachin! The location of the hostel is perfect! Very near to the most important tourist destinations in Florence! I recommend this wonderful place to everyone who wants to feel the real spirit of Italy!
