We spent one night here in the 20 bed dorm. There were 2 fans and all the windows were open, so the heat wasn't really an issue. There is a grocery store right next door and cooking facilities with ample dining space. Free wifi and printing for 20c per page was great. No plugs in the room but plenty in the common room. Great for a one or two night stop over.
This hostel is great if you don't mind dark and smelly rooms, a kitchen so dirty you can't touch anything, and being kicked out for four hours of the day, oh, and don't forget the curfew!
A nice place to relax after a long journey.
Great hostel, excellent staff, comfortable beds, rooms with air con, decent bathrooms. Cheap food options and markets close by. Owner provides free wine and snacks which was amazing, had a blast with the other travellers!
Big hostel located across the river from the centre of florence. Comfortable and clean air conditioned dorms. Excellent facilities: kitchen, coffee machine, dining area, wifi, terrace, tv, bike rental, free city map. This hostel is not just a place to stay the night, the hostel is designed for the budget traveller and backpacker and the staff will give you the info to make the most your time in Florence. Good price also for a tourist city Florence in the high season.
Friendly staff, supermarket next door, nice place to hang out at night around the corner. Rooms were hot though, but it has everything you need:) definitly recommend it!
Very good location, there is a supermarket just next door. Not so good was that it was extreamly hot in the room and with two fans you were still sweating a lot and in my room there was only one plug which was used for the fan. But all in all a good experience. Would recommend it!
It is really dirty bathroom and the room for 6 really like prison and very hot. I won't back there again.
Ok hostel, wouldn't stay for too long. Very nice and friendly staff that can tell you anything about Firenze. Also you can book day excursions through them along with other various activities. Some downfalls: lockout of room between 11am-2pm for cleaning, hot water only runs in the showers at arranged times of day, has no air conditioning, no soap in the bathrooms and showers were gross. Best things about this hostel are the staff and from the church next door you can hear the opera shows.
The hostel is in a great location. It has a super market next door and you can cook in the kitchen. I enjoyed my stay here. The hostel has friendly vibes because of the terrace and common room. The staff were helpful, but not chatty. The one down side is that there is no aircon so the rooms are BAKING in the height of summer.
The hostel was really hot since there is no AC. The only complaint is that a homeless man came is the kitchen and was bothering people. The rooms were secure though.
The room I stayed was extremily hot and unconfortable because of that.
Has a really good atmosphere and great facilities, never shared a room with other people before but we felt really safe. One problem we had was there were American girls in the boys toilets/showers in the mornings doing their makeup and even after being told they didn't see it as in inappropriate? It really put my boyfriend off because he couldn't have a shower. Other than that it is a really social place to stay!
Good hostel, good value for money in florence. Good kitchen, helpful and friendly staff, short walk from main train station. Although dorm rooms can be quite hot.
The staff were helpful and had a nice common area, I will stay at this hostel again!
Very nice hostel! But a little bit strange, because you can't have a HOT bath after some hour.... But really nice place :)!
Easy to find and get around from. Kitchen is too small as are fridges. Food was falling out of the fridges when they were opened. Three hobs not enough for a hostel holding 200 odd guests. Showers were dirty and generally not enough staff around.
I have mixed feelings about this hostel. When you are very active traveller and you cook by yourself for example, you definitely should stay there. Santa Monaca has got kitchen which you can use, tables and so on. You can only stay stere when you are only searching for a place to sleep because for me it was not a comfortable building to lie and rest when I was tired. The temperature in the room (6 beds for women) was so high that it was very difficult to sleep there.
