Strong competitor to worst hostel ever. The showers don't work properly. The hostel is so weird and dirty. ONE plug per room. THE ARE NO STAIRS TO THE UPPER BEDS!!!! The hostel was really empty yet it was so dirty!! The doors at the female bathrooms are TRANSPARENTS!!and it is so far from the city center,
its great that you are able to rent bikes!

Nice big hostel, a pleasant stroll away from the centre. Staff extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Was a bit empty in November so common rooms didn't feature much charme while I was visiting, rooftop terrace was closed. You get a locker that fits a medium sized backpack, also only 1-2 electric sockets per dorm room. Be aware that there's a 2am curfew.
Overall good hostel. No faults but nothing amazing either.
This hostel is well located in a central ubication, just 5 minutes walk to ponte vecchio. Its very clean, the bad thing is that you have to leave the room dice 10am to 2pm for the room service. The common area is really big and so is the kitchen, but they dont have enough plats and cups so you have to bring this things with you.. Anyway its a really good option for the price.
It has a really god kitchen and dinner area. Location is good. There were market near area. It was a good journey :)
The walls are VERY thin in this hostel, so if you are a light sleeper I suggest staying somewhere else.
Nothing overly bad about this hostel, just nothing special either. Dorm rooms feel somewhat like prison cells with one small window with bars on it. Lots of hallways and it is a maze to make it to the bathroom. Eating area is large and kitchen is fine. Lacks character.
This hostel was great. It was clean, well-laid out, and had computers, a kitchen, a luggage room, bikes to rent, and a place to buy things you might have forgotten. I felt very safe here as a single female traveler, and met some friends here, too. On the map it looks like it's "out" of the many stuff in florence, but it was about a 10 minute walk that was BEAUTIFUL. Good hostel.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is near the train station and you can walk to the city centre easily. The only issue is the water in the bathroom. It is quite weak and slow. If the hostel can improve this matter, your hostel would be perfect.
The only poor thing about the rooms was that there was one electrical outlet for an 8 person room. Other than that, great location.
Great location, kind staff, good to have a kitchen, and very good wifi! Showers very smal!! Pictures in hostel world a bit decieving but good in general.
The hostel is all right. It is not a cosy home - everything inside is very simple - plain walls and rows of bed - no usual thematic decorations as they do it in many hostels - but it is ok. The location is good, everything is clean, stuff is quiet friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well-equiped. And it is cheap! I think it is a very good quality/ price balance. The only big drawback for me was a lack of sockets. In a big 16-bedroom room there was only 1 - near the door...

Pretty good hostel, it's only a 20 minute walk from the train station and within walking distance of all the good sites in florence. The layout is very confusing, so familiarize yourself when you get there because it is hard to navigate late at night. The door was also confusing, another good thing to figure out when you get there. The lockers were small and old, a few are bent which doesn't feel very secure. The girls shower runs for 30 seconds then you have to push a button.
Very familiar place, a true hostel in the center of Firenze. I had the chance to stay two night in the 2 beds ensuite room: it is almost a "suite" even if not a luxury one! I could have lived there for a month: there is also a "living room". Definitely worth the (little) money I paid!
Great location, large dorm rooms. Felt safe.
friendly staff!! Great hostel!!!!
I was very pleased with Hostel Santa Monaca. The location was great, the supermarket a bit of a walk if you wanted to do your own cooking, but close to the heart of Florence. The staff was helpful, the rooms okay. There were plenty of showers available. The best place for getting together with other guests was the terrace, not the community room.
Got locked out of the hostel after 2am along with 10 other guests, had to sleep rough on the street until 6am! I understand there is a lockout but it seems ridiculous, Florence is safe enough and it takes about 30 mins to get back to the hostel from the main bar area (or 50 if you're drunk and mapless) quite angry about that, otherwise hostel was great.
