This hostel is in a great part of town, a very local district with many interesting shops, cafes and piazzas nearby. It is great for meeting people with a lovely terrace, and a kitchen common room. Rooms are nice and safe, and the staff are very helpful.
We stayed for two nights and was ok but expensive 21,5€ for a 10 bed dorm is too expensive. -The kitchen and dinning area are ok but too big and not very cozy. Toilet is really from the kitchen especially if you are a man. You are kicked out from 10am-2pm +Good location. Helpful staff. bike rentals. Supermarket next door.

I think you guys should put soap dispensers in the bathroom
Such a great location and was very clean! It was also filled with good, nice, young people which is always nice.
The staff was very nice and helpful. They had large lockers in each room with clean bedrooms. The wifi was free but was a little spotty and the bathrooms weren't very close to the bedrooms. But there were a lot of stalls and showers in the bathrooms which was convenient during the morning rush of people getting ready for the day.
They don't really have a common area to hang out in. Additionally, you can hear some cool opera jams on certain nights, which can be kind of fun. It's a confusing layout of the place, but overall a very nice stay.
I enjoyed my stay at Hostel Santa Monaca. I am glad we were able to store our luggage, but not being able to go into the rooms between 10-2 was weird. Also, the lights turn off in the bathroom at a certain time at night and you cannot turn them back on, that was weird.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. There are stairs. Needs a few utensils in kitchen like a spatula. My only complaint would be why are there 3 shower facilities up stairs for women where the rooms are and only 1 for men downstairs
Stayed at Santa Monaca for one night - it has turned out to be an excellent choice in terms of price, location and atmosphere.

Easy walk from the train station. Took us about 10 mins with large backpacks. The place is very clean. There is a lockout from 10am to 2pm, so be prepared to wake up at a reasonable time. For most of my stay there, only the female showers/ toilets on the 2nd floor were open. This was inconvenient, especially if you need to go to the toilet during the night. And the bathroom on the 1st floor was much larger/ nicer as well.
The staff here are lovely, easy to find from the train station.
Weird way of putting showers before toilets and some plastic doors could be a better solutions than curtains.
Kitchen well equipped and huge dining hall, decent location
It's your standard backpackers hostel (clean and well-kept), but rather far from the heart of city. No major issues, except that it is far from the main attractions and the buses can be quite infrequent. I would not recommend walking from the train station to the hostel, unless you're traveling light and don't mind an uphill hike for 25 - 30 minutes. There's a bus that goes straight to the hostel, and you can also call them and they'll pick you up in a shuttle for 2 Euros.
great hostel and you can listen to free classic vocal concert every night lol.
Staff was helpful. But accommodations in Italy is so horrendously expensive. With the price I paid I expected more than what was offered. The dorm beds are old. There is no reading lights which makes it difficult to navigate in the room when everyone is sleeping. The drainage in the bathrooms is not so good so the floor is wet most of the time. The good thing is they have a kitchen.
The showers were a bit crappy, but everything else was great.
Nice place to stay in Florence for a couple of nights. There's internet in the rooms and the bathrooms are really not bad. The staff was helpful. The main problem is that there's no breakfast included, so the price is a little high for what you actually get. However, the guest kitchen is a big plus: you can cook your own meals in there. There's all the kitchen stuff that's needed, plus two refrigerators to keep your food in.
