A real nice little hostel!! Big rooms, confortable beds and the roof terasse is perfect. It could not be better situated in the city. Nelson, the host, knows a lot about Evora and around, so don't be afraid to ask about activities to do and places to eat. He told me about a small family restaurant called Pipa Redonda, and it was the best meal i had in 2 weeks (delicious grilled octopus!!).
Breakfast is lame, just jam and toast, but it is included with the low room rate so I shouldn't complain. It's a sort of you-have-the-key-so-come-and-go-as-you-please hostel. Ask reception about the megalith tours, pricey at €25, but very interesting.
the location is perfect, the bathrooms are very clean and the guy who owns the hostel is the nicest person in the world! (he says a lot the word "ok", but it makes him eaven better!)
Sit down on the roof terrace and see on the right a beautiful church, look at the left and you see a gorgeous landscape with a beautiful sunset. One floor downstairs you'll find a neat and clean hostel with helpful staff and nice and quite atmosphere. When you walk out of the front door you are at the middle of the main square. I can not imagine that there exist a better hostel in Evora.
We enjoyed our stay at Santantao Hostel. Its central location made it easy to explore Evora's old town. The owner was very friendly and informed us about the culture, the history and the sights of the beautiful city. We were enraptured by the rooftop terrace with its great view. The perfect place for having a glass of wine!

A clean, cozy hostel right in the main square of the town. Although it is cheap, it offers all I was looking for: nice people, good advices about what to do and what to see around the town and outside, and even a terrace between the roofs where you can have breakfast or stay at night. I strongly recommend it!
Excellent hostel with nothing to complain! Nelson is very friendly and will guide you where to go in Evora. Rooms are clean with sunlight.
Excellent. Fantastic host, beautiful roof terrace looking out over city, great location and atmosphere.
I recommend this hostel for your stay in Evora. While this hostel is not new and flashy, it is in a great location with a really nice staff. Nelson is super nice, very attentive and patient. The building is a little older, but it is kept clean and presentable. You are given 4 keys - 1 for the building, 1 for the hostel, 1 for your room and another for your locker. The location cannot be beat.
Right in the town centre and great value for money.Staff is very friendly and gave us tips for original Portuguese places for food and drinks. Totally satisfied

This is a good hostel located right in the centre of Evora's old town, which is where you want to be.
Gorgeous rooftop to watch the sun set, helpful, friendly staff.
Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! 5 star location on a backpackers budget. Quiet, cheap, right in the guts of town, FULLY equipped kitchen (rare in a hostel) and a lovely roof top terrace. Only thing I would recommend is to book one of the dorms if you´re not too fussed about having the privacy. We had a twin room which was great but for one euro less it´d certainly be worth staying in the dorms because the view is wonderful.
Great hostel, staff is really helpful and location is amazing!
Nelson is great and very friendly with spot on recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The place is lacking in atmosphere although that may be bc it is low season, the common areas need some softening but otherwise a lovely place.
