Hostel is about a 20min cab/tram ride from the hotel so its not ideal for those who want to stay right in the heart of the city and be able to walk from their hostel to attractions or popular bars for travelers. The rooms in the hostels are fairly nice with an updated bathroom which was surprising. Free breakfast is also a good cost saving, it consists of bread, meat, cheese, hardboiled eggs, juice/coffee.

They put me in a different hotel 1 hour away because they had no room in spite of my reservation. And i only learned this once i arrived. The could have informed me via phone or email. Transport to the other hotel was not provided.

I stayed just one night and the room and toilet were clean and peaceful. I liked very much the assorted breakfast in the morning. I was afraid that the city center was too far, but by bus is only 20 min, for me it was ok.

It is really recommended for a stay of 02-05 days in Amsterdam, I like the way the receptionist serve, she was very friendly. The location is located not so far from downtown, you need to take a bus no. 21, just only for 20 minutes. Just buy a 24 city-ticket (7.5EUR), you can even go to the airport (we did also and then bought a ticket to Keukenhof) The price is really reasonable if you book in advance. If there is a chance to go back, I will definitely choose it again.

I shared a room with 2 other people. the room was very very clean! and the beds were nice also. I didnt get hardly any sleep the two nights i stayed as the other too people were very very loud. I would stay there again but in a room on my own! the location is O.K there is a tram stop outside which brings you straight into central station which is good.!

I wish there's a shared kitchen and laundry room that we can use. But I know it's impossible coz it's really a hotel, not a hostel. It's really clean and tidy and the shower is great!! And the breakfast is really really nice, although there's always a rush at 7:30am.

It's located quite far from the city center (around 20 - 25 minutes by bus), and there is no public transportation available in the early morning, so I had to get a cab to catch my 7 am flight (20 euros to get to the Central Station). Also, as the restaurant worked only for breakfast, there was no way to get some coffee or tea in the hotel itself. The room was clean, but they kept bed linen (both dirty and clean) in the corridors. Wifi only worked in the lobby. The rooms are quite nice though

The hostel was good. We were two but they gave us a room with four beds which is a bunk bed as two bed rooms were full. There was not heating though in the room and that weekend was pretty cold. Breakfast had varieties. It was good. Public transport service is quite good. 14 number tram takes straight to Centre from the Hotel. There is a Italian restaurant in front of the hotel, which is fine.

We thought we would like to live a little bit from the city center but it turned out to be a bit of a hassle traveling to and from the central every day, not the fault of the hostel, but something to think about when considering what you will be doing during your stay. The rooms were clean if a bit worn, beds comfy and rooms kept at a good temperature. we went for a private room for 3 and it was very nice with our own bathroom. Wifi wasnt any good at least in our room.

The hotel reception was not polite on the contrary was extremely rude. We were asked to move to different hotel at the time of check in, even that was acceptable but pushing us off without any transport to the new hotel was very unprofessional. Also when we requested for transport we were blatantly refused. The breakfast fine, but the 'Free Wi-Fi' was not visible, there was one computer for internet access I would not recommend this place to anyone, however desperate the person maybe.

Upon arrival they let us put our luggage in a closet because check in was not for several hours. This closet was full of trash. The guy at the front desk was usually rude to us and after reporting a MOUSE in our room he said he could not do anything about it. The hostel was located on the outskirts of Amsterdam, which is was kind of disappointing. There is free breakfast in the morning, however both nights it made everyone's stomachs upset.

Positives: Clean rooms, excellent bathrooms-facilities were more like a hotel than a hostel Negatives: Looking for a fun stay in Amsterdam, I was disappointed with this hostel. As a hostel, I expected a more friendly environment. There wasn't a common space and the staff verged on rudeness, actually. They were unhelpful and short. The location was far from the city center (we used trams). WiFi was TERRIBLE. Would recommend for a quiet stay, not necessarily the best for traveling students though

The hotel itself was pretty nice. The location wasn't all that great since it is about 25 minutes from the city center and the tram and bus take a long time to come and are unreliable. The staff did not like answering questions at all. One guy who worked a night shift would not answer any of my questions, responded that he didn't know about anything or any reservations and that I had to wait two days until the manager had his shift. The manager wasn't very nice either.

Booked this hostel as it was the same price as a hotel but slotania included breakfast. Booked a 4 bed dorm for 3 of us - got upgraded to a triple room on arrival. bedroom was clean and spacious. breakfast was good - busy - but food was perfect. trams and buses go into town and out to train stations from right outside. night trams stop at midnight but a taxi from the centre out to the hostel was only 12 euros after midnight. staff were very helpful. would reccommend you stay here.
