Worse experience ever had in a hostel/hotel. We were woke up the two nights we stayed there at 3 and 5 a.m by some drunk group of kids that were knocking on our door and desperatly trying to break into our room! Believe me this was no fun! Next morning of course we complained but the staff didnt give so much importance. Is really not centrally located and not easy to reach if you want to enjoy the city center. The carpets are stained and look kind of disgusting KEEP AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

Just terrible. The hostel is located at a very dodgy place. We never felt safe walking outside by ourselves. The staff wasn't helpful at all and was constantly grumpy. You couldn't ask them anything. Do NOT recommend!

About 30 minutes from the city center.

Great hostel for Amsterdam. Cheap and clean rooms with private bathrooms. Comfy beds with sheets, blankets, pillows and towels provided. Hallways and common areas aren't the cleanest but not the worst either. Tram and bus stops right outside and coffee shop down the street. Would definitely stay here again!

Staff are quite rude especially when u need help (one woman in particular). Rooms are nice and clean, abit out of the city centre but lots of public transport to get you there. No real common room or place to relax outside of your room.

Staff are not very helpful or friendly especially if you have a problem, rooms are clean hallways are quite dirty and need abit of work.

it was really clean and the bathroom was really big, but when we were checking in, the reception started helping us, and then answered a phone call and just ignored us for a solid 10 minutes before finishing helping us. one of the girls in our room literally was asleep the entire time we were there (from 4pm to 6am the next morning) so everyone had to tip toe around and keep quiet. obviously not the hostels fault, just annoying. not a social hostel at all.

Bit far from much in the city, but a friendly and fairly clean place. The longest corridor to reach the room...

The hostel itself was great; clean, nice ensuite, security boxes in the room. Well connected to the centre by trams during the day and buses at night. The only problem: we booked through hostel world, requesting 7 beds in an 8 person room, and were told that they were available. When we arrived, we got 6 beds in one room, and 1 in another but we had not been told this in advance. Advice: ring the hostel itself to make sure you get what you ordered on hostelworld.

not at all displeased with this place. maybe a bit pricey considering the location far from the center of the city.

The bed was very uncomfortable with a beam running down the middle (hard to explain) and the staff weren't overly helpful. The breakfast was good though.

Huge hotel, so lots of tourist groups. Not much of a social experience at the hotel itself; probably better to come stay with a friend instead of trying to make friends there. Really chill area nearby with a grocery stores, some cafes/shops and a coffee shop 10 mins walk away. Cheap night food right next door; great for munchies.

We had some problems when we arrived. The door didn't lock, the safe was not usable and the drain in the shower was clocked. But the staff was quick to solve these issues and we received a free breakfast the following morning. So that was great service! One thing we would have liked to be different was the locker room downstairs, that is used for luggage when the guests have chcecked out. Ths room is accessible for all guests at the hostel and the lockers in there did not work.

There was a festival going on and this hotel was the cheapest room we could find. We only needed it for one night and the rooms were clean as the beds were so comfy. But if you're looking to meet people and have fun this ain't the hostel for you, security is okay because they use key cards but no lockers and the atmosphere is a bit grim. Amazing if you want a good nights sleep though! Wifi didn't work in rooms

rooms too small and too many people in one single room. the cleansing of the rooms is poorly done by the morning. the don't change sheet. the hostel is too far away from the centre. to expensive for the overall environment. wouldn't return.

very good

I thought the hostel was good but not perfect. However given the cost of the hostel per night I would say that the value for money is better than excellent. Although located out of the the city centre, efficient public transport made it quite easy to get into the city.

The guy at the front desk was high and when I asked for help he thought it was funny to mislead me. The morning girl did help me, but after prompting her to. This is the staff you get at the hotel style hostels it seems. Rooms are not clean nor are washrooms. Decks have a collection of garbage. Hallways are disgusting. Quiet hours were respected.

This place is very far out of central Amsterdam, it a 35 minute bus ride and a little bit shorter if you take a train, so if you are interested in hanging out in central Dam this is not the place to stay. On top of that the staff was unfriendly and the location of the hostel is suspect with the surrounding areas being a bit dodgy.
