We were in a private room which had a kitchenette, tv, wi-fi, air-con, towels and a shared bathroom. Location right by ferry port/buses so was good stopover location. Due to being in a private room in an apartment there was no communal area for meeting people, but this may be in another section of the hostel. Private rooms were great value for money and perfect for a rainy day in Split!

Staff were not helpful, didn't have accurate information on ferries, beaches, their own computers, etc. Heard from others that the morning staff are more knowledgable. The lack of common area was unfortunate. Stayed in two different 8 bed dorms and one was substantially better than the other (layout, bathroom, etc) but there was no price difference. Wifi didn't work everywhere. Everything was in walking distance, my stuff was always secure, and the maid always cleaned rooms/bathrooms well.

This excellent value for money hostel is in a perfect location close to the old town, market, supermarket, bakery, ferries, bus and train station. All only a few mins walk away. Our room was a double shared bathroom which was not in the main hostel building but in an adjoining building. Our room was small and the facilities - bathroom and shower - were crammed in. Staff weren't too helpful or interested. Overall a great hostel for location and value for money.

What the hostel didn't mention upon booking was that we would be placed in a room a few blocks away, essentially in an alley. The towels were the size of a washcloth and the bathroom was beyond tiny; getting out was literally difficult. There were fireworks that went off in our street in the middle of the night and because we were slightly below ground we could hear every passerby that went by our window. For some reason they had a tv. I suggest using that $ for better cleaning and amenities.

Fantastic location - right beside all the action but still very quiet at night. Room was very large, and very air conditioned, and had its own desk with a computer, fridge, washroom and shower and table and chairs. Right outside the door was a small kitchen and laundry facilities if you needed them. Staff were very helpful and the whole place had a good atmosphere - definitely recommend!

Please fix the bunk-bed rungs. They spin and are potentially a hazard. Someone will eventually injure themselves. Other than that no complaints.

The beds in the hostel were structured along the length of the wall which I think is better as it allows everyone to have their own space rather than have to share the middle of the room. The kitchen was small but big enough to use to cook small meals. The atmosphere of this place was brilliant - unlike other hostels where there are majority Aussies or Brits or Americans this had a mix of every culture. I STRONGLY recommend Hostel Split - amazing place and brilliant location !

The four bed dorm was a little cramped but the lockers were good, and there was a shared kitchenette. Great location. Staff were helpful. Wifi was good. Was on ground floor next to office.

Had a spacious and air-conditioned private room in a shared apartment. More than comfortable and close to the centre and bus station.

Hostel Split is in a great location and was a great place for me to stay overnight after being on Hvar and catching a flight the next day. I liked the idea of having a computer in the dorm room and a fridge. Very handy for chilling drinks especially in the middle of summer.

Sometimes the people at the front desk can be a bit rude...

Right in the heart of split. Very small but comfortable. No kitchen or common area. Helpful staff

We had our own room in a shared apartment. The staff were friendly and showed us to the room. There were two more groups of people in the same apartment but we didn't have any problems, everybodyw as quiet and respectful. There are two showers, both clean. The location is great, just two minutes from Diocletian's Palace. Keep in mind, it's perhaps the 5th floor and there's no elevator. There is also just one toilet for all the people. Aside from this, top-notch place to stay!

The hostel was less like a hostel and more like an apartment- which was amazing. We stayed approximately 5 minutes away from the reception area which worked in our favour as it was closer to the beach. The facilities were fantastic and we would definitely stay there again.

The air-conditioning system is absolutely ridiculous. The window has to be kept open due to a pipe having to be placed outside for the AC to work. This results in a lack of security and many mosquito bits. It is also incredibly noisy, so much so we were both unable to sleep. So you cannot sleep due to noise, the itchiness of mosquito bits or the heat because you decided you couldn't take the noise or mossie bites anymore so you switch it off.

A nice hostel near the bus station. A copule of minutos away from the Riva and with a couple of supermarkets on the corner. Also really nice staff willing to help with information for different day tours.

We got a random upgrade to a private double bed with en-suite and small kitchen, which was really nice. Very clean with helpful facilities. The only downside is the room location was separate from the reception quite a bit up the road, which I think the other rooms are too, so it was further away from the old town than expected.
