Has everything you need and boasts with loads of Finland travel info! Will definitely come back. (Plus: Foosball!)
Whilst slightly out of the city centre, Stadion Hostel is pretty cool. What it lacks in being central it makes up for by staying in the actual olympic stadium. A HI hostel with all the awesomeness, lights and sockets for each bed, lockers, clean showers (tho' a lack of locks on the girls shower room, but its fine). Breakfast was kind of pricey so I didn't eat there. The staff were informative and helpful. Definitely a cool place to stay in Helsinki.
Just a terrible hostel. We payed excessively expensive for almost nothing in the other hand.
It's very good place to stay in Helsinki with cheaper cost. Especially if you are going to watch some football the hostel is going to be in same building. That was the reason we choose the stadium. Breakfast was good and trams go near the hostel so you can get easily to downtown. I can recommend it.
Interestingly set inside the Olympic Stadium, it's a fair hike (half an hour?) from the train station and city centre, but a pleasant stroll along one straight road. LOADS of helpful info about Helsinki in the foyer, this is very much designed by travellers, for travellers. The rooms, despite lots of beds, are spacious, and there are kitchen and common-room facilities. Although the adjacent Olympic tower was closed when I was there, you get a 40% discount if booked through the hostel.
Reasonably close to amenities but very far from central train station ( about a 1 hour walk). Most of the staff are courteous , but none is friendly or exceptionally helpful. They just do the required minimum.Wi fi works only in lobby and breakfast room.Relatively cheap for Helsinki.
Definitely not a social hostel--no large communal spaces to relax in. Beds were fine, bathrooms could've been a bit cleaner (trash bins were always overflowing, often smelled), and the wifi only being available in the main entrance was a minor inconvenience at worst. Breakfast was good. It was very neat to get to stay in the Olympic Stadium, and using the nearby tram, it was only about 10 minutes total to the central train station.
If you like paying over the odds to stay with guests who mostly seemed to be homeless alcoholics, are fond of a overwhelming smell of stale body odour, prefer sleeping on a inch of foam rather than a mattress, like being woken up everytime the person on the bunk above you moves by deafening structural creaking, don't want WiFi in your room and prefer your bedding covered in mysterious stains, this is the hostel for you.
Room was quite chilly.Door makes a loud noise when shut from the outside. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, while some others are quite cold and brusque.About a 30 minute walk to central train station, but lots of public transit options nearby and shops and restaurants in immediate vicinity.A cosy-cutting compromise.
The hostel is OK. The beds were pretty old and I think the room could have bigger lockers inside. The hostel is 15min from the city center, but the main street is aside and I think were secure walk alone. I would recomend.
The hostel is well located and quite easy to find. The staff is very friendly and tries to help as much as they can.
I really enjoyed the hostel although reception was sometimes very helpfull and sometimes not, depending on the girl that was there. Recomended breakfast
Pretty cool to actually stay in the Olympia Stadion. I stayed for a very short time though, so did not use the facilities to the full. It was nice and quiet if sleep is a priority, as it was for me this time.

The Hostel is very far away from the center, the toilets stink were quite stinky and the showers also not very clean. Further there was no working wifi in the rooms and in the shared rooms nobody was speaking and no good mood.
Its a good oportunity to pass a night in an olympic stadium . Need to refresh all the Furniture in the rooms it's not comfortable at all . It's an expensive hostal , but in this country all is expensive
Felt that the direction of the tram to the hostel should be specified more - for example, the last stops for tram 2 are the same. Another thing i want to specify is the blankets and their cleanliness. I really think they should be checked at least by the staff once the guest leaves or the guest should at least inform the staff instead of just leaving them dirty. And there should at least be sugar, salt and proper knives to use in the kitchen.
No internet in the rooms. No atmosphere at all. Incredibly expensive for a bed in a blah dorm ($40 USD).
Dorm rooms are terrible. Uncomfortable bunk beds. No internet in the rooms. The price is expensive for a room of such condiiton. WC and shower far to the room. Have to walk down stairs and through a long corridor. The hostel location is good. 15 minute walk to center.

This hostel probably is the best choice in Helsinki when it comes to price vs. offer ratio. It's not at all far away from the center, and is actually the first hostel I stayed in which is a member of HI association and where staff is helpful and not rude (had very bad experiences in Zagreb and Vilnius). Only bad thing is that wifi is restricted to a small living room near the reception, so please fix that, people will be grateful.
