this was a great hostel, they had many things figured out that made things easier, such as rooms without a key (don't you hate getting locked out when you go to the shower, or to the washroom in the middle of the night?), but lockers downstairs where you could keep your valuables, if you wished. The hostel also had great character, friendly and helpful staff, and 3-euro breakfast including a coffee (or espresso), great!

i only stay for one night but everthing looks perfect for me

Very nice hostel with a great common room! I was offered a coffee or tea on the house when I arrived. It's close to the city center but a good 15 minute walk from the train station. Only complaint is the top bunks do not have a rail, which is a little dangerous.

Nice hostel and well located. It has a lovely garden and Staff was very nice. From my point of view, a bit expensive.

Everything was good, I liked the athmosphere in the living room, only the bathroom was dirty.

great hostel, beautifull staff!!!I loved it..

I only stayed one night but my impression was that it is a peaceful hostel. Strangely, there are no locks on room doors, nor lockers in rooms. Instead, they have a code to get into the building. Staff seemed friendly and there are communal areas to meet other travellers, as well as a kitchen. Oddly, there were no ladders for top bunks, which posed my roommate a problem but there were tables and chairs in the rooms, which you don't get everywhere.

I've spent in Hostel Strowis only one night without breakfast. Nevertheless I liked the atmosphere and facilities of this place. The staff and interior also leaves a good impression. The were no drunk or stoned bunches - so I've managed to get a very good sleep. In total - quiet, clean and cozy place for an adequate price.

a really nice place, the staff is really helpfull

Nice clean rooms and showers. No lockers in the rooms, though, you had to walk all the way down to the basement. There were two very weird, very smelly people in my 14 person room-- they insisted on sharing a twin bed and made weird noises throughout the night. Hard to meet people, as everyone was using their laptops in the common area.

Staff was super cool and helpful. They showed me what to see and do in Utrecht, offered me a coffee as soon as I arrived, and were really cool the whole time. Breakfast is not included, but I suggest to take it.

Staff is helpful, provided a hair dryer when I needed one. However the adapter that was lent to me does not seem to work, and my iphone was out of battery after a few hours. Place and beddings are clean overall, excellent location within Utrecht - it was less than a 5min walk after drinks with friends nearby.

Our stay was really good! All the members of the staff were very kind and the atmosphere was cousy and confortable. The living room allow to settle in quickly and to meet easily a new friends! That's a good way to enjoy your stay :)

Friendly atmosphere and personnel. People who want to stay in Utrecht for few days should stay in this Hostel. Everybody is nice, kind and friendly it was the best 4 nights in Utrecht!

Common soap or shampoo dispensers in the shower would have been nice, but that is just a suggestion.

Nice hostel and staff really really friendly. Clean rooms and showers, not far from the centre. Noteworthy, students in the neighborhood quite noisy on friday night.
