this hostel is fine I guess but for what you pay, at other places you get way more, and also it's in Utrecht. so I don't know I'd skip it.

The staff was incredibly helpful. The place had a nice garden and relaxed atmosphere. The room was what you would expect from a hostel, nothing fancy but good enough. Free lockers were available downstairs, rather than in the room, but it isn't too much of a hassle. Overall very good value for money.
I recommend Strowis Hostel if you want to visit Utrecht especially if you stay only for a couple of days because it is located in the city centre. It's a really nice place compare to the good price! Rooms are clean and there's a quite big common area with the kitchen, the bar and the garden. I have enjoyed my stay!
Staff were helpful, excellent location, it was clean and had a nice atmosphere.
Good location, good hostel. Got everything you need pretty much
Strowis Hostel is a really nice place for backpackers! Even if you're traveling by yourself, you won't feel lonely in this place because there is always a good atmosphere down in the living room, kitchen or cosy garden! I'm looking forward for the next time I'll come along!

This hostel fits seamlessly into the relaxed and community feel of Utrech. They offer superb value for money and friendly staff. The main feature is their idyllic garden that plays host to free live music. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
Pros: Close to train station (30 mins to Amsterdam), canals, and shopping. Welcoming and rustic common room with beautiful private garden in the back. Very friendly, personable, and helpful staff. Bed linen provided and changed frequently. Coffee and snacks available. Cons: Hostel can be a bit loud at night (loud music, loud voices from in and out side). Communal showers and toilets. Creaky bunk beds. No lockers in rooms.
This place is such a neat place to stay! its so close to the tower and easy walk to most attractions and the places along the canal. The place had a very good breakfast and when we checked in, we were greeted with tea or espresso! great place to come back to and read and play cribbage in the lobby after walking all day.
Loved the Strowis. The staff was super nice always asking if everything was alright and gave my friend and I a cup of complimentary tea the second we checked in. It's really close to the city center and the historic building it's in is so cool. The breakfast was good and the showers were clean. Also I would definitely recommend that anyone who stays in Utrecht do the night lights self guided tour its a fun way to spend the evening and its free.
Hostel Strowis makes you feel at home. They greet you with a cup of coffee when you check in. The people that work there truely care about their jobs and will go out of their way to make your experience positive. The location is prime in the middle of Utrecht, close to the Dom tower. The only downside is the atmosphere in the hostel is kind of weird, it has a very quiet hipster vibe which is hard to meet people in. Would definitely recommend!
Great hostel, really fun, nice common area and good useable kitchen. Really helpful staff, and goof rooms, although bathroom showers are ones like in swimming pools, but they have good pressure and you get used to them! really relaxed and lovely, definitely recommend you stay there! I was in three bed girls dorm and it was good!
The hostel is located in a very local art friendly neighbourhood (you can pick up a map at the front desk). They gave me complimentary tea right when I entered, and offered the same again when they accidentally overcharged me on my stay. The atmosphere and staff are truly great. :)
The directions from the bus station is very clear. I found the hostel without any problem. The location is great just right in the old town. The kitchen is also well equipped. The staff are all very helpful. Would recommend to any one who fine to Utrecht to stay here.
Living up to the reputation of friendly Dutch hospitality, great common area and facilities as well as a welcome drink on arrival.
The walls were pretty thin, so you didn't just hear the people in your room but also from the room next door. Its quite central and the garden is nice. An average hostel basically, nothing was especially good or bad.
Very friendly staff and everything we needed. Bathrooms were wonderfully clean and the location was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay!
All in all a great hostel! Well kept, well organised with great staff and a great garden! Located in a fantastic area of Utecht close to everything you will want to see and all the shops you will need. The larger dorms do not have lockers inside them or enough plug sockets which was a bit of a problem but did not detract from anything overall! Very calm and quiet for the most part. A really lovely place!
My friend and i stayed there for 3 days and wished we could stay more. Staff were very helpful and they have natural cosy garden where you can relax and have a nice conversation with others. The rooms are really authentic. If you are going to Utrecht, i recommend everyone to stay there :)
